As your post correctly mentioned salat is one of the 5 pillars. Read up on Salat and Abraham.

Message received and I respect your findings. I do believe they need at least to reform enough to get along in the modern world. They trace their linage from Abraham, so we have a family feud of biblical proportions. Mo wasn't a very good example of a prophet IMHO.

Should the Muslims be converted to Christianity, or clean up their spiritual act, or be wiped out?

Thanks for remaining civil in this debate.

The old tried-and-true Christian bashing for artists is suddenly revealed to be a lot less brave than it had been.

Nope, diagram the sentence. The stuff inside the dashes is a parenthetical list which contains no clauses. There are three clauses in the sentence, the main on with the gerund 'being' as its subject, and the subordinate clause, 'where feminists are. . .', and the subordinate clause 'she was selected. . .' (and yes, one can make a clause subordinate with an elliptical 'that').

What do you do for a living? Teach English, or program the 'grammar checker' for Microsoft Word?

Look, I tried to read it and keep all the clauses and subordinate clauses, and subordinate subordinates going in my mind and every time I broke down at about "Isapostolos".

I didn't think there was a hard and fast rule for what constituted a runon, just that it is when a sentence becomes so complex it fails to communicate anything.

Not an english major. Just a fan of readability. I'll grant you this -- you spelled your words correctly and didn't leave a bunch of extra pronouns and conjunctives in there when you edited it, like many people do.

The definition of agape is easy to find, if someone choses to be honest about their Biblical research.

My humanitarian impulse says the second choice, but my pragmatic nature says the third choice. Actually the first and third choices are the classical choices victors generally give to the losers.

Thanks for remaining civil in this debate.

We are on the same side. Our perspectives are just different. I am pretty much an atheist who understands the power of religion and faith.

I haven't heard any sermons on beheading the unbeliever. I assume that Rabbis don't lecture on the subject either. I'd say there is a pretty clear-cut difference.

Pretending that there isn't any difference between the three is disingenuous at best.

Then may I suggest you start by reading the Old Testament, in particular the parts where Israel conquers and exterminates everyone. Then may I suggest you read the book, Dogs of God, by James Reston, Jr. The inquisitions and Crusades were a very interesting time in the history of Christianity. Neither the Jews nor the Christians have clean hands.

Islam is currently the problem though and it has to be dealt with. There is a quote I once read which roughly said that victory is not achieved until the other side sells their women. We need Islam to fear us more than it fears its god.

Ahhhh... historically speaking your argument holds water.

Right, wrong, or indifferent, we're talking about today. If you don't recognize any difference, today, you should read the papers or watch the news...

Did you read my last paragraph? I agree, Islam is the problem today and we aren't taking it seriously enough.
