I agree. I keep hearing the MSM talk about now that the dems have control, Bush will have to reach across the isle, and he'll have to find bipartisanship, blah blah blah. But they NEVER say the dems have to reach across the isle or do their part. It's always someone OTHER THAN a democrat that has to do all the work, while the dems just sit there and bitch. Grrrr...

The translation and bottom line to that is....

Bush "Jr." let us down, just as his dad did. And I was afraid of that happening, even tho we didn't have a better choice. But GWB just didn't appear to be as wussie as the old man, at least at first.

You're right though. We need a man of stronger stuff than that. I wish someone would convince John Ensign to run in '08.

Anybody got any decent candidates in mind?

___
Ronald Reagan was willing to ridicule Democrats and Communists at every opportunity. Bush, like his dear Dad, just wanted to give them a hug.

See, the "real" Conservative voters gave up power, because the MSM/DNC rolled them into thinking they had to punish the GOP.

And the VERY NEXT DAY THE MSM/DNC SHOWS THOSE CONSERVATIVES WHO IS BOSS OF THIS COUNTRY.

Then I sure hope he hasn't committed any.

Rush is right on this... it will get worse before it gets better. We've thrown a bone of appeasement to the Dems with Rummy, and now they will want even more. Dems have just made the Bush Administration into the very thing they hate- appeasers.

How and the world do we have any future credibility in the world against terrorists when we can't even stand up to the enemy within?

CC, you know I support the President, but this presser was a disaster. And his spin on not knowing Rummy was going to resign is not acceptable.

But Casey is a well-known name here. They didn't boot Santorum for the unknown, or so they thought.

You're right on that one. I was speaking principally of the Murtha-Irey race.

I can fix that :).... I just don't want to put EVERYTHING in the pic... or it will lose its impact. It's very strange... I could have added at least 10 more people....but, I figured, thay they would detract rather than add to the Pic. I will add more poeople only if they are REALLY, REALLY REALLY important "MSM cheerleaders" - LOL

The current situation should remind us all that declarations of victory over the dinosaur MSM have been very premature, despite the exciting and important accomplishments of Buckhead et al. Just because we can "expose" various DBM and Demagogues failings and scandals here and elsewhere on the web, talk radio, etc. does not mean that the dishonesty, depravity, and and malfeasance of the left is known to most Americans.

We can blame various Republican leaders or the uninformed "middle" of the electorate and there is some truth to each criticism we make, but the MSM/Demagogue alliance is still tight and strong and deadly. The MSM was worth 10-25 points to EVERY 'Rat candidate last night. That's a steep hill to climb every two years.

Sure, we have enjoyed some victories in the blogosphere, talk radio, etc. but just remember that no matter how many lies and frauds are exposed, the MSM and Demagogues just keep coming back as though nothing has happened to them.

Yes, they have lost their former stranglehold on information, but they still enjoy a central and predominant role in the culture, and they must be smashed. Talk to anyone who's not a political junkie, who picks up just a few tidbits from headlines and news flashes.... THEY don't know how far left the Demagogic Party is from 75% of the country, THEY don't know that Dan Blather and his ilk have been thoroughly discredited over and over again, THEY don't know anything but what the MSM spoon-feeds them.

We pride ourselves, rightly, on being much better informed and insightful than the MSM and the Demagogues, but we still have a huge project of public education to get beyond situations like tonight.

Remember, Dan Blather resurfaced again in the past 48 hours, giving an interview in which he asserted yet again that his story and the TANG documents have never been discredited. These people are vampires, the living dead, and will not go away without a much bigger fight than we have waged to date.
