Subtle gong alert, scrolled on the bottom of the screen.
Now talking about immigration reform...Bush says there is a better chance of comphrensive reform with a Democrat congress...we all know what their idea of reform is...AMNESTY!
Prayers up! And then some.
exactly - this conference has been a mess - I am beside myself & need to go gather my "wits"
Right. Bush is saying Iraq is the issue, but quitting isn't what the electorate said.
Now he's pointing out that we are going to be stuck with immigration "reform".
Now, I support a strict guest worker program, I hope that now that Bush isn't trying to defend majorities he'll actually stand for HIS limited view of it, not the evil Senate plan.
Then to put an aggie in Rummy's place, that just isn't right.
Allegra, you are in my thoughts and prayers as always. Stay safe!
Next thing you know he is going to say that the Democrats were who we thought they were...and WE LET 'EM OFF THE HOOK. NOW IF YOU WANT TO CROWN PELOSI, THEN CROWN HER A**...
[/Dennis Green jokes]
All kidding aside, this is rockbottom...
If you were here right now, I'd hug you!
YES ABSOLUTELY TRUE... BUT HE ** HAS TO DO IT *** HE HAS TO FACE THE HUMILIATION AND SNEERS OF THE MSM...
They are really trying to hury him..."just a little more," a little more blood.
This surprises you?
Mostly in the places where the flood is so high that those representatives are fighting disaster.
The demographics shift. They lose.
The rest of the country will see.
Thank God you left Helen outta that pic.
Duncan Hunter is supposed to hold a presser...
I had at least hoped he would be a bit more subtle.
And not turn the knife so quickly.
But you are probably right,
And right after everyone is learning the election results, this press conference was an unmitigated disaster. I love President Bush, but I'm sorry. IT WAS!
"but he is trying to grab the agenda."
Sometimes, even freepers cannot see clearly through the haze..
I agree with you, and it's what we SHOULD have been doing FOR YEARS...
Instead WE, (the base) let Milquetoast Republicans cowtow to even more incompetent Democrats...
Imagine the carnage if we'd gone up against a COMPETENT Democratic Party? The Wake up bell is ringing, is anybody listening?
Thank you and stay safe.
anybody else feel like salt was pounded into the wound?
I love & pray for this President but I'm STUNNED
One thing about the Muzzies, they know the war they are fighting. They won't lie low in hopes of getting another weenie in the WH, they feel emboldened and they will come out swinging.
Pray for Europe, even if they don't deserve it. There's gonna be nasty stuff there. Nasty stuff.
Caving in to the left. They smell blood. What will they demand next? Out of Iraq immediately? Count on it.
We spent too much time last year trying to defend our majority, instead of defending our principles. Maybe we did that for several years.
Rove's plan to drive up the base rather than fight for principles and educate the independents only works if there are enough people on your side to get to the polls. It's a devisive way to run an election, and we finally got bit by it.
Over time, I hope we can get back to educating the electorate.
Great to hear from boots on the ground.
Big ass BTTT and a High 5 to you Allegra.
"I think W has invented 4-5 new words today."
Ha HA
Which ones?
this press conference has giveen great fooder for the cable channels this afternoon - as if they didn't have enough
I feel worse after listening to this press conference than I did this morning reading the election results.
Hang in there.. Take some time.. for YOU.
make that FODDER - I really am upset
Rush just said that Hastert won't seek the Minority leader position in the House next term.
The humiliation of America is just starting.
I agree. I keep hearing the MSM talk about now that the dems have control, Bush will have to reach across the isle, and he'll have to find bipartisanship, blah blah blah. But they NEVER say the dems have to reach across the isle or do their part. It's always someone OTHER THAN a democrat that has to do all the work, while the dems just sit there and bitch. Grrrr...
I understand what you're saying now.
Rush predicting the Dems will seek war crimes prosecution of Rumsfeld.
oh, that picture is awesome!
He shouldn't and this I expected.
The translation and bottom line to that is....
Bush "Jr." let us down, just as his dad did. And I was afraid of that happening, even tho we didn't have a better choice. But GWB just didn't appear to be as wussie as the old man, at least at first.
You're right though. We need a man of stronger stuff than that. I wish someone would convince John Ensign to run in '08.
Anybody got any decent candidates in mind?
___
Ronald Reagan was willing to ridicule Democrats and Communists at every opportunity. Bush, like his dear Dad, just wanted to give them a hug.
See, the "real" Conservative voters gave up power, because the MSM/DNC rolled them into thinking they had to punish the GOP.
And the VERY NEXT DAY THE MSM/DNC SHOWS THOSE CONSERVATIVES WHO IS BOSS OF THIS COUNTRY.
Then I sure hope he hasn't committed any.
How and the world do we have any future credibility in the world against terrorists when we can't even stand up to the enemy within?
CC, you know I support the President, but this presser was a disaster. And his spin on not knowing Rummy was going to resign is not acceptable.
:)... Thanks... that picture will change a bit here and there, but it will not go away!.. because we have to REMEMBER who are enemies are :) and the MST is our enemy!
LA Times is missing....but I dont even know if they are in business anymore.
Oh Helen tried getting into the team... But the "girls" did not let here in because she was not "pretty enough." LOL
Both. Hardly a pep rally.
But Casey is a well-known name here. They didn't boot Santorum for the unknown, or so they thought.
I can fix that :).... I just don't want to put EVERYTHING in the pic... or it will lose its impact. It's very strange... I could have added at least 10 more people....but, I figured, thay they would detract rather than add to the Pic. I will add more poeople only if they are REALLY, REALLY REALLY important "MSM cheerleaders" - LOL
The current situation should remind us all that declarations of victory over the dinosaur MSM have been very premature, despite the exciting and important accomplishments of Buckhead et al. Just because we can "expose" various DBM and Demagogues failings and scandals here and elsewhere on the web, talk radio, etc. does not mean that the dishonesty, depravity, and and malfeasance of the left is known to most Americans.
We can blame various Republican leaders or the uninformed "middle" of the electorate and there is some truth to each criticism we make, but the MSM/Demagogue alliance is still tight and strong and deadly. The MSM was worth 10-25 points to EVERY 'Rat candidate last night. That's a steep hill to climb every two years.
Sure, we have enjoyed some victories in the blogosphere, talk radio, etc. but just remember that no matter how many lies and frauds are exposed, the MSM and Demagogues just keep coming back as though nothing has happened to them.
Yes, they have lost their former stranglehold on information, but they still enjoy a central and predominant role in the culture, and they must be smashed. Talk to anyone who's not a political junkie, who picks up just a few tidbits from headlines and news flashes.... THEY don't know how far left the Demagogic Party is from 75% of the country, THEY don't know that Dan Blather and his ilk have been thoroughly discredited over and over again, THEY don't know anything but what the MSM spoon-feeds them.
We pride ourselves, rightly, on being much better informed and insightful than the MSM and the Demagogues, but we still have a huge project of public education to get beyond situations like tonight.
Remember, Dan Blather resurfaced again in the past 48 hours, giving an interview in which he asserted yet again that his story and the TANG documents have never been discredited. These people are vampires, the living dead, and will not go away without a much bigger fight than we have waged to date.
