first, i saw the drudge report. i've been lurking on free republic for a long time and was interested in what the speculation was regarding the post by drudge.

So your first post on FR is to regurgitate Kos conspiracy theories. Okay.

second, i googled around and found several stories by a bunch of lefty wackos regarding the "research into a tactical nuke explosion at fob falcon"...

Yes, I know that. You posted them here.

third, i came to free republic and reviewed the speculation on what the nyt story could be.

Check that.

i had relatives who had been stationed at fob falcon during their tour in iraq.

Okay. I'll have to take your word at that.

fourth, i joined in order to add my two cents.

And you did.

fifth, next time i will not be so cordial in my reply. you may want to ask questions before you start hurling accusations (thinly veiled though they may be).

I asked you the simple question of why you joined FR today to start posting stuff from the DailyKos. Nothing more, nothing less.

I'm not afraid of a less than cordial reply. You seem to barely be able to contain your defensiveness from a simple question. Posting cr*p from DK is not a good way to gain the good graces of folks at a conservative website on the eve of an important election. You are transparent.

No idea, but judging from the source it's most likely anti-Bush and involves a leak

Exactly my thought. Oh well, it's friday. Im sure the republican national chairman is about to release his october surprise and all of this will be forgetten.

I can't quite tell if the NYT is reporting that Iraq was a year away from an atom bomb in 1991 or 2002.

any idea what this might mean?

That the NYT is spinning faster than Linda Blair's head in The Exorcist.

Thank you, ikez78. On the one hand, I'm so proud of the freepers and others who have worked on this project and shown what a lot of liars the media is--on the other, it's just so demoralizing that now that they admit there was something to all this, they now claim these documents that they've previously dismissed with a snicker, that these documents gave Iran secrets.

I know hatred is not healthy for the soul, but I truly, deeply, and thoroughly hate, despise, and loathe the NYT and quite probably all Democrats.

I would never subscribe to any newspaper period. i can get biased news on the web but i can't get unbiased news in a newspaper.

sometimes, i trash the NYT's here in my office, before anyone gets in. and other times, it just happens to fall under the urinal where it gets the splash of 400 men

Well, to be fair to Pollock, he was honestly bemused at the lack of any WMD stockpiles found after the invasion into Iraq; and he offers his best guess as to their whereabouts in an article he wrote in Atlantic Monthly, I think it's Feb 04.

Thanks for the ping. I got a lot of catching up to do as I get dozens of pings on some days. I don't see on the fly any new news as what Iraq had or was planning on having in due course.
This stuff only once again confirms we know they had plans in all phases of wmd research and development, as well as clandestine operations while the UN teams where farting around for all those years.
