The Texas Department of Transportation will host 54 public hearings on the Trans-Texas Corridor beginning Monday.
The Trans-Texas Corridor is a proposed multi-use network of transportation routes that will incorporate existing and new highways and railways from Oklahoma to Mexico. Specific routes have not been announced.
Scheduled hearings in the Brazos Valley include events at the Caldwell High School Auditorium on July 20, the Cameron ISD Performing Arts Center on July 18, the Hearne Junior High School Auditorium on July 19 and the Rockdale Knights of Columbus Hall on July 27. All events include an open house from 5 to 6:30 p.m., with the hearings starting at 6:30 p.m.
For a complete list of the locations and dates of hearings, visit www.keeptexasmoving.org.
Trans-Texas Corridor PING!
Jerome Corsi will be by shortly to explain that it was because of his pressure that these meetings were scheduled.
Wait, I thought this was secret project by the CFR and Illuminati. What's with 54 public hearings???
I'll be there at Georgetown on the 24th. We'll see what they have!
They create the appearance of concern for public opinion.

How do you eat an Elephant? One bite at a time.
They can't shove this down our throats in one sitting.

Hmmm looks like it is happening
Why not schedule 1054 meetings, then?
Two, maybe five, would create that impression. I've never heard of 54 hearings for any planned project. Have you?
No.
TXDOT takes the identical smoke and mirror dog and pony show to 54 locations. The last one I attended was just easel-sized blowups of pages from their razzle-dazzle website -- with a bunch of high-dollar "hired guns" (AKA "consultants") there to "explain" them...
IOW, a huge waste of taxpayer dollars to cover TXDOT's @$$ so they could say they "got public input"...
How many hearings would it take for you to think they got input?
Or is this all a conspiracy?
Has TXDOT revealed the secret financial details of their contract with Cintra-Zachry yet -- as they were ordered to do by the Attorney General?
If your answer is "no", what (besides "conspiracy") would you call such behavior?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The last thing I heard on the subject, TXDOT announced that they would release the financials -- then, due to objections by Cintra-Zachry, they backed down.
Just the fact that a State agency had to be ordered to release information that MUST be made public, is sufficient for me to distrust both Ric Williamson and Rick Perry -- and their motives.
Collusion? Conspiracy? Con Job? ...you make the call...
Has it complied with the Texas AG's office, or is it challenging the ruling? I would think once that is established this ring-around-the-rosie should end.
They're xenophobic protectionists and no amount of reasoning with them will change a thing.
They can't be satisfied.
They're peeing their pants about a ROAD.
These morons would oppose the discovery a new HARBOR.
No, you are not. It was TXDOT (last thing I knew, an agency of the State of Texas and answerable to the citizens of Texas) that refused to release the financials in its contract with C-Z.
I don't know about you and dog gone, but I, for one demand transparency by the bureaucrats who are handling massive amounts of Texas taxpayers' money.
Regardless of what TXDOT may (or may not) have done of late, their initial refusal to reveal the contract financials should (at the very minimum) result in the firing of Ric Williamson -- and those of his staff who were involved.
C-Z had argued to the judge that there are details to the contract that are not yet finalized, and other details should not be disclosed in order to protect trade secrets, but the judge (basically) said "tell it to another judge." I have no idea what C-Z is arguing in its current filings.
This is hardly prima facie evidence of a conspiracy. It's a 1.3 billion dollar deal, for chrissakes.
TXDOT is a party to the agreement that C-Z is suing the Texas AG to delay its disclosure.
You're probably not willing to admit that you've never looked through the Texas State Budget even once in your entire life.
Stop the charade.
