This time it’s because of a post on Facebook showing her six-year-old son Trig, a child diagnosed with Down syndrome, to reach an otherwise out-of-reach countertop, “step, baby, step[ping]” on the back of Jill Hadassa, the family’s black Labrador retriever. The Texas Department of Transportation will host 54 public hearings on the Trans-Texas Corridor beginning Monday. ANTIOCH, CA -- Officers shot and killed a pit bull Thursday night after its owner commanded it to attack officers searching a house, police said. A police dog also bit two suspects, but neither 23-year-old Daniel Jones nor 36-year-old Anthony Torres were seriously injured, said Sgt. Dimitri Barakos.
