LOL! Now, I mentioned we only saw HALF of the shows. There had to be someone else out there besides us... ;-)

I liked that they were playing "That's Amore" when the US team was walking in the Closing Ceremony tonight.

It *sounded* like Dean Martin, but surely they had somebody Italian who sings it, too. I think all the Italian-themed background songs tonight were in English and by American singers, but I didn't see all of it or hear all of them.

There are plenty of good Italian music acts, why did they have to trot so many English and American acts for the opening and closing ceremonies?

Yes, they do... that's what I kept wondering too.

I like this singer--what's his name? Beautiful voice.

Sorry I'm just replying now, jonny (going thru my pings)... I assume you were referring to Andrea Bocelli.

Mom told me that Stacy is a wreslter. HUH?

Yes that's what I heard and they showed a clip of her in the ring. Talk about someone looking totally out of place. My husband heard that as a result of the Show she's been offered a role in a movie and Leshay a role in a broadway play.

Rice did do much better tonight but if you looked at him (and not Anna) throughout, he hardly moved at all. Last week he said he thought he smelled victory and that shocked us all.

I didn't hear him apologize to Stacy but it doesn't surprise me. He's a nice guy but can't dance.

We only saw about half the shows, though, I doubt if our votes made much of a difference. ;-)

Soooo I can blame you and zelig for his second place showing huh!

I'm listening to some sample tracks of Andrea Bocelli's new CD "Amore" here. Wonderful!

Well... maybe...

Was there any voting tonight? We didn't vote!

OMG, I am LMAO just picturing FReepers with whole-house fans, practicing flying! Sucked right through the roof. Nothing left but shredded pajamas and an eerie posting at FR: Hey, that sounds like fun! I've got a whole house fan, be back in a minute.

Shredded pajamas... LOL!

Uh-oh... "back in a minute"? Where are you, small voice...?

Oh, he didn't say it loud or anything, I read his lips. He did the same thing last week with Lipsa Rinna. He knew he didn't really deserve it on his dancing merits and he was embarrassed, at that moment.

I know he said things about possibly winning, but it was all over his body language that he didn't think he could or would.

That's what the announcer said ... coming to us "from" Tuscany. Perhaps it was more Fellini, however. Or Houdini.

LMAO! That's exactly what the vantage point was on my TV. The wind people looked like they would burn up at any moment.

Of course, that was when there WAS a flame in the torch. They didn't bother to tell ME when there wasn't one anymore.

Ah. Wish I could hear them online, but no sound. I heard him do Besame Mucho, It's Impossible, and the one about "Believe" on different shows this week.

I'd love to hear him do Amapola (the pretty little poppy) and especially Autumn Leaves, one of my favorites. Bet he does that one beautifully.

I heard the announcer say that Boccelli lives in Tuscany ... a place I would dearly love to see.
