I wondered about what a class 3 meant. If Michigan had that it would be a clearer list. I want to know if the guy next door is dangerous. Being on Michigan's list means nothing to me.

I mean, back in the day, one of my boyfriends came awfully close to being considered a sex offender if we had been caught...but we didn't and we weren't..

I got a story for ya. One of my neighbors (lady about 8 houses down) was coming to me and telling me that her teenage daughter was getting obscene phone calls. A rookie policeman (on our department) lives right next door to her.

I told her to have her daughter write down every incident that occured and then we'd take it up to the prosecutors office and get a tap on the line.

She told me that it always happened when she was away from the house.

One day she left in her car and forgot something. She returned to her house and saw her daughter on the phone. She said she could tell by her daughter's expression that she had gotten another call.

The woman ran next door to the rookie police officers house. She got up on the porch and looked in the window. He was talking on the phone and masturbating.

Here he had been the obscene phone caller all along. He was fired from the police dept., went to jail for awhile and got probation. He still lives on the street and next door to the woman.

The parents said that the victim's were jealous because this guy had a good job and was making good money. They even want to sue the police department and one of the victims.

I called the cops today, because I read on our state's website, that I have a convicted offender right next door. I have two little girls and a teen age son. The cops won't tell me anything...nor can they do anything! Really, what good is it?

These guys need to be locked up forever, or killed--never let out.

I agree with everyone else that the very dangerous like this guy needs to be put away. For a very long time. They will never change. But I also remember that my parents wouldn't let me date until I was over 16. I didn't understand it at the time, now I do. Under 16 you are too young to consent in Michigan, some states are different. I know a girl who did and then charged her 18 yr old boyfriend with rape. He's on the "list". And what good does a list do? Has it prevented on rape? I wonder.

BTW, do you know that in the State of Michigan, if you are a guy at a school dance, and you dance with a girl and place your hand on her rear, or somewhere else, it's considered 4th degree criminal sexual conduct?
I was in court once observing and they had a 24 yr old man plead guilty to touching a woman (friend) on her fully clothed breast. 4th Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct. I don't know about anyone else, but I remember what I was like at 14...Good thing my parents were always one step ahead of me!

They should have already been executed but criminal justice is a game where the victim always loses.

This is one way the game could work :
1. Those violent offenders (including child molesters) who are not executed quickly (some should not live out the month) go to prison.
2. There is a fixed quota of offenders by offense in prison.
3. If the offenders in prison can influence people on the outside not to offend in the same category of crime they did, they get to live, albeit in prison.
4. For every new convict added to the prison population, the current convict with the most points is executed as the new convict takes his place.

I know, (and I can only speak for my state) people keep re-electing them. The same legislators, judges, regardless of the fact that they do nothing they promised, some are indicted for corruption, etc. and win year after year.

I say keep voting them out of office as long as it takes, until someone gets in there and realizes if they do not do something about this, they will lose the next election. Maybe not enough people realize the problem, or do not think it will make a difference who is elected, but we've got to start somewhere, maybe at the polls, they might listen to our cries then.

Why aren't these slimes put straight in a mental institution immediately after they have completed their "hard time"? There is nothing in prison that "cures" them of this evil. We all know they are going to do it again, and it seems eventually kill as well. Was the parent of the 6 year old in court when he was let out on bail? What judge is responsible for this?

The girl victim has since grown up and moved out but the woman had another child who is about 10 years old now.

I don't know if your state makes the distinction between sexual predators & sexual offenders like Florida, but here the ones you really have to worry about are the sexual predators. In any event, what are the public records laws like in your state? Again, if it's anything like Florida, with its strong emphasis on public records, you can do what my family did. When we discovered we had a sexual offender just around the corner, my brother went to the courthouse and got a copy of the police affidavit detailing the guy's crime. That affidavit, or other info in the court file, can give you a lot of information about the sort of potential victim who might be in danger from him.

According to Brenda's cousin the dad was in a motorcycle gang.

CHISHOLM, Minn.

Two years after the disappearance of 5-year-old Leanna "Beaner" Warner, officials don't have any promising leads left to search for the girl.

Abducted June 14, 2003, Warner was last seen walking alone about a block from her home on this Iron Range town. Since then, police have tracked down thousands of leads and come up with next to nothing.

Chisholm Police Chief Scott Erickson said an occasional lead still comes in, but there's nothing concrete.

"We're just hoping to get that little piece of the puzzle that will break this case wide open," Erickson said. "All I can say is that we're not giving up."

Warner's parents, Chris and Lois Warner, said they were hopeful that Tuesday's anniversary will put the spotlight back on the case. They think any publicity could help them find their daughter.

Although the case has slowed down, Chris Warner said he believes Beaner is not dead but is instead living out of state or abroad.

"She's out there somewhere," he said.

The Warner family is asking the public to download pictures of their daughter from http://www.findbeaner.org and distribute them. The pictures are more recent than photos distributed in the past.

Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the Chisholm Police Department at (218) 254-7915.

We've got to keep praying for Dylan. I have a strong feeling that LE knows way more about his whereabouts than we are being told, and that they are telling us publicly that he is likely dead to keep his captor from running with him and/or killing him before Shasta can tell them where he might be. Until a body is found, we have to hang onto hope.
