After the second presidential debate, in which John Kerry used the word "plan" 24 times, I said on television that Kerry has a plan for everything except curing psoriasis. I should have known there is no parodying Kerry's pandering. It turned out days later that the Kerry campaign has a plan -- nay, a promise -- to cure paralysis. What is the plan? Vote for Kerry.
This is John Edwards on Monday at a rally in Newton, Iowa: "If we do the work that we can do in this country, the work that we will do when John Kerry is president, people like Christopher Reeve are going to walk, get up out of that wheelchair and walk again."
In my 25 years in Washington, I have never seen a more loathsome display of demagoguery. Hope is good. False hope is bad. Deliberately, for personal gain, raising false hope in the catastrophically afflicted is despicable.

Devastating to the demagogue Edwards.... but who's paying attention that matters? These charlatans, Kerry and Edwards, throw out clusters of wild lies every week and never get called on it by the media. Sure, we can all criticize them here, but how will we STOP these charlatans?
Yeah. That's "planned pandering," a speciality among the dems. Takes an expert to really get it right. Some come by it naturally, like the Boobsy twins. Others have to cultivate it carefully, like "Sheets" Byrd.But it is an essential talent for the dems.

After the first debate I told my parents, "If you've got hemorroids, Kerry's got a plan!" Looks like me and Kraut think along the same lines.
Knowing that, how could Kerry say "he" was going to change tax codes, change immigration laws, change social security.
Bush on the other hand has much more of a chance to implement what he wants to accomplish.
Kerry's statements about what he would do and Edwards statements about what their administration will accomplish don't recognize that there are three branches of government and it takes two to make things happen.
Really shows what political ambition can do to totally unprincipled people, and Kerry/Edwards are the worst of the worst.
As bad as Clinton was/is I question that he'd play with such false hope as this.
Combined with the other things: Cheney's daughter, terror as nuisance, global test, undeliverable promises.
I truly fear that Kerry would let the muslim forces grow across the globe, putting us further at risk.
And he'll say anything to get the chance to have the power to put us at risk.
