REGISTERING VS VOTING: Voter Fraud and Voting

Posted on 10/03/2004 8:02:09 AM PDT by pctech

I got a question I've wanted to pose to everyone on FR so it goes. I've been reading on here numerous times about possible voter fraud and what it could mean to the Bush re-election. The question I have is this; even though all these new applications for voter registration are being received in states like Ohio, Neveda, Michigan, and others, don't the people still have to vote using these false registrations for this to become an effective ploy to use? I mean even though all these registrations for new voters are coming in I would assume that the people would still have to physically vote right?

If these registrations are fraudulent, and the people's name on them don't actually exist, then it wouldn't really matter how many registrations were received would it>

And it would take a great organizational structure to follow up and try to have someone cast a vote using all these registrations. Surely if the same person was going around and voting numerous times using different voter registration credentials in different districts the logistics of doing that would be enormous.

Read up about the 1960 election where there was massive voter fraud in Chicago, Texas and West Virginia which turned the presidential election. Never Again.

Have you confirmed that those e-mails actually came from our side, rather than RAT tricksters, who will use them as evidence of Republican misbehavior?

No, I didn't even relpy.

It has been my experiance that those here on FR who are here to disrupt are "zotted" rather quickly. Your point, however, is taken.

Numerous organizations (right, left, and otherwise) have asked their members to vote absentee and look to have been successful. So trying to separate the wheat from the chaff based strictly on the number of absentee ballots is not going to help much.

But I will tell you what could work. Having the parties or other concerned organizations clean the registration lists. Voter registrations are usually public records, and the parties have the right to challenge voter credentials. The party or other organization can send a bland campaign postcard to each new registered voter. You send it DO NOT FORWARD, FORWARDING ADDRESS REQUESTED. Each postcard you get back is suspect registration. It's not fool proof, but it does work. And it costs about 25 cents each.

Keep in mind that you can vet darn near anyone on the net these days if you have their name and address. If it's a ghost voter, you won't find other records that they exist. Again, a suspect registration.

The question in my mind on this stuff is WHERE ARE THE PROSECUTIONS? Political organizations should use their clout to demand accountability and enforcement of the law. I haven't heard much in this regard. Send a few people to prison and word WILL get around.

The correct defense is for that 527 discussed yesterday to offer substantial rewards to anyone who fingers a fraudulent voter. Those vans going around and the absentees would be at considerable risk of being turned in for a felony.

The kind of outrage that would result in prosecutions would likely not happen unless there was a national groundswelling of enormous proportions. I myself, regardless of the outcome, will start a letter writing campaign and visits to local offices if necessary to try and force our elected officials to deal with the issue.

Challenging voter registrations is a tricky process.

I worked as an election official in Vermont for 10 years, and the voter lists could only be 'purged' during certain periods. I know that 'Motor Voter' changed this, but I believe it is still pretty well defined as a process and not as easy as it sounds.

They will enter the votes into the voting machines and all the new folks who registered won't have to bother voting.

Now we know where Soros' money is really going.

I don't think that getting a prosecution here and there would be that difficult. You won't get what you don't ask for.

You don't need many to send a message. I suspect that any such prosecutions would be widely reported. Not in the MSM perhaps, but certainly in the alternative media.

I encourage you in your letter writing efforts. From the RKBA world I know that it does work.

I just checked my county and they require identification but that can be just a utility bill or bank statement.

We can choose to light a candle or curse the darkness.

People need to learn the rules and use them. Public officials who want to do the right thing are often constrained by politics. Private actors usually are not.

I merely suggest that a group that was creative enough to be able to uncover fraudulent documents in a news story within a matter of hours would find a project to document and expose actual accounts of voter fraud to be, well, child's play.

On your registration form you can ask for an absentee ballot. The US, sadly, seems almost a 3rd world nation in election process. Neither party seems to care about this.

I'm certainly going to try. I'm going to start with local representatives and work my way up.

Repeating on all election fraud threads.

I emailed my County Election Officials and asked a lot of questions (Who to contact if fraud is suspected, How will they avoid, "The Zombie Vote," etc.).

I suggest everyone do the same.

....Pass it on....

I'm all for pointing out problems via whatever medium. I merely wanted to point out that getting the registrations changed is not a simple process. Don't think we disagree.

FDLE is investigating complaints by some people that their party is being switched by the visiting organizations signing up new voters on registration forms here in Florida. Furthermore, some reg. forms have incomplete information when sent in so those people will not be able to vote.

I think most of us have known for quite awhile that Democrats will cheat to win. But I am more worried this election year than any other because of the pure hatred and ignorance many democrats have for Bush. I have no doubt they are committing fraud in this election and I think it's worse than in 2000. I agree we have to do everything we can to stop this fraud and bring it to public attention. We can't just talk about it if we aren't prepared to do whatever we can in our current position to fix the problem. I just hope that the Bush Campaign and the RNC are taking this very serious and have equal or even more resource's to find and prevent these things from happening before the election and on election day. We need an equal amount of lawyers at these polling places if not more. This is a very serious threat and I think the election fraud committed by the Democrats this election is worse than it has been in quite awhile. We have to do whatever it takes to prevent this and get President George W. Bush Re-elected this November.
