A Soldier's Prayer

God our Father,
Help me to remain true to my ideals
during my service to my country.
Help me be what is in America,
the land of the free.
May I realize that I represent
what our country stands for.
My uniform is a symbol of duty and valor
both in peace and in war.
I take up arms to defend what all Americans hold dear:
life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Grant me the strength to live according to these ideals,
the courage of my convictions, and the resolve to
endure
whatever dangers threaten.
With you at our side I fear no evil
and resist every enemy,
secure in the knowledge
that you hold me in the palm of your hand.

Thank Heavenly Father for hearing and answering our prayers for our troops in Iraq and around the world. Thank for the privilege to come before you holy presence and bring them before you. Cover them with the precious blood of Jesus. Send your angels to be in charge over them. Confuse the enemy. I pray for peace in Iraq. I pray for the Iraqis people to be liberated not only physically but spiritually. I claim and thank you for the victory. I bind the enemy and cast them away from our troops and the troops of other countries fighting on or side to liberate the oppress. In Jesus name, Amen.

Long ways, long days, long hours
They sat and thought about incoming battle.
Same, they thought about their love ones they left behind.

Will I see them again, will I see them again?
If I would not, then let be, I must fight for them, since I am here.
