Good morning FReepers! Greetings from CPAC!
Waiting for the hotel to be cleared out for VP Cheney, who is due to speak at 2:00. Have had a great time so far with many FReepers showing up - even the elusive Registered! PBS innterviewed me this morning - think they'll be fair and unbiased? LOL Bob J and Diotima and The Shrew are already interviewing famous people for Rightalk! We'll keep you updated.

It was so nice to see (or meet for the first time) all of you! :-)

We had a great time at CPAC, and did our best to recruit new FReepers everywhere we were, whether attending one of the sessions, at the CPAC banquets, in the Marriott bar, etc. We even (hopefully) recruited a new FReeper from Kansas today while stopping for a couple of hours at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum on our way home. We just want every conservative we meet to have as much fun on FR as we've been having over the past three or so years, I guess... lol

Highlights of our trip to CPAC (besides the #1 highlight... spending time with fellow FReepers!):

Having a front-row seat (just by dumb luck) for speeches by: Vice President Cheney, Ann Coulter and Ollie North. Hearing wonderful speeches by: Dr. Alan Keyes, Sen. Bill Frist, Sen. Zell Miller, Sen. Mitch McConnell, Sen. George Allen, RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, David Horowitz, Michelle Malkin, Phyllis Schlafly, Wayne LaPierre and former Congressman Bob Barr.

I hope we can attend CPAC again next year, and to see all of you again soon!

A very special HELLO to you, and to all of our good FRiends at FreeDominion.ca! Wonderful to see that Free Dominion had a booth at CPAC... and at such a strategic location, right at the top of the escalators at the main entrance to the conference!

It was just too darn comfortable and easy to slip into hanging out with my Tri-State pals.

I am not even going to attempt to ping everyone to this post..there are just too many and it is late and I am soooooooooo tired.....

I have attended a lot of conferences over the years, but I have to say this was the ABSOLUTE BEST I have ever attended. The speakers, the panels, the discussions, the messages were superb.......But best of all I finally got to meet face to face, for the first time, people that I had already considered friends.. FREEPERS!!!!!!!!

More than an inch of snow on the ground already and it's supposed to mix with sleet later tonight - I see school closing in my future for the morning.........but at least the weather held off til I got home!!!!!

Yes, we saw Ann Coulter (with sauropod, hellinahandcart and Libertina in the front row). She's like a rock star at CPAC... She clearly draws the biggest audience. Many of the college conservatives raced up to the podium with their cameras just before she came out. Last year there were a couple of college girls up in the front row who had T-shirts on that said something like: "I want to be Ann Coulter when I grow up!"

The outfit she had on on Friday was nearly identical to the one her "action figure" is wearing: TalkingPresidents.com

I do not remember, because at the time, I was very, very drunk. I do remember why it ended, though, and that's a funny story which would take too long to type. I'll tell you at the next NYYRC meeting. It was all a misunderstanding, I assure you. :)
