I've noticed that for quite a while, there has been a series of television commercials for Sensodyne toothpaste where a female dentist promotes the benefits of using this product. There have been about 6-7 of these commercials. What's interesting is that only female dentists (or actors depicting a dentist) are featured wearing a white lab coat and all appear to be from a minority group e.g. black, Hispanic, Asian. I have never seen a male dentist or a white female dentist featured in these ads. I suppose this is part of "woke" and DIE. Anyone else have another explanation?

U.S. checking all toothpaste imports from China WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- U.S. health officials are beginning to check all shipments of toothpaste coming from China, following reports of tainted products in other countries, a government spokesman said Wednesday. The Food and Drug Administration has no evidence that contaminated toothpaste has made its way into the United States but is taking the step as a precaution, agency spokesman Doug Arbesfeld said. China is the second-largest exporter of toothpaste to the United States behind Canada, according to the FDA. The FDA's action comes after the lethal chemical diethylene glycol was found in toothpaste...

MANILA, Philippines — Laboratory studies show that toothpastes containing zinc or stannous and mouthwash formulas with cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) neutralize the virus that causes COVID-19 by 99.9%. The studies are part of a Colgate research program that includes clinical studies among infected people to assess the efficacy of oral care products in reducing the amount of the virus in the mouth, potentially slowing the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. In the laboratory studies—the first to include toothpaste—Colgate Total and Meridol toothpastes neutralized 99.9% of the virus after two minutes of contact. Colgate Plax and Colgate Total mouthwashes were similarly effective...

Wow, sonic technology to clean our teeth! That's what we have now, and it makes it easy to have cleaner, whiter teeth and healthier gums. The sonic technology drives the bristle tip velocity so that fluids can clean into tight spaces and the gum line. Healthy gums translate to a healthier heart. The toothbrush has come a long way. But what did people use thousands of years ago before electricity or nylon was invented? Well the first toothbrush was no doubt the human finger. It is recorded that people used salt, chalk or soot and rubbed it on their teeth...

President Obama approved a bill on Monday banning soaps, toothpastes, and bodywashes that contain a harmful ingredient. That ingredient is microbeads — tiny, nearly impossible-to-dissolve plastic particles that enter water streams by the billions. The beads are typically found in cleansing products because they can be used as tiny scrubbers, helping to wipe away oil and dirt from the skin or teeth.
-
The Boston Herald received a wave of criticism Wednesday morning after publishing an editorial cartoon about President Obama that many have deemed as racist.

Those little blue microbeads in your Crest toothpaste may be getting stuck in your teeth and gums, prompting dentists to ask toothpaste manufacturers for a change. The tiny scrubbers contain the ingredient polyethylene, a form of plastic that does not degrade and can stay embedded in your mouth. “Your body will see them as a foreign body, bacteria will clamp to them and it has the potential to cause gum disease, some form of gingivitis or harm to it,” Dr. Wade Pilling of Meridien, Indiana told KTVB.

(NewsCore) - A legal dispute between the U.S. and India over a herbal toothpaste was leaving a bitter aftertaste between the two countries Thursday, with Colgate Palmolive accused of filing a bogus patent. Colgate, the world’s largest producer of toothpaste, patented a toothcleaning powder in the hope that it would take the multibillion-dollar Indian oral hygiene market by storm. However, Indian activists claim that the patent is bogus because the ingredients -- including clove oil, camphor, black pepper and spearmint -- have been used for the same purpose for hundreds, “if not thousands,” of years on the subcontinent.

Take a deep breath. The Herald has put state Sen. Anthony D. Galluccio’s oral argument to the test. The embattled Cambridge Democrat, on home confinement after pleading guilty to a hit-and-run crash, flunked a series of blood-alcohol checks this week - and he blamed it on his toothpaste. Galluccio claimed Sensodyne and Colgate Total Whitening toothpaste caused low readings on a Sobrietor, the device Galluccio uses. Galluccio said he brushed with both brands Monday before blowing into the device showing “several low level positive reads over the course of an hour.” A Herald test using an Alcohawk Slim Ultra digital...

Fluoride exposure is rising and causing children’s tooth imperfections, ranging from white spots to brownish discolorations and pitting (fluorosis), dentist Elivir Dincer reports in the New York State Dental Journal. (1) “Such changes in the tooth’s appearance can affect the child’s self-esteem which makes early prevention that much more critical,” writes Dincer. Children, aged 2 to 7 years, can swallow about one-quarter milligram of fluoride with every brushing because their swallowing reflexes are not fully developed, reports Dincer. “Children from the age of 6-months to 3-years should not have more than one-quarter milligram of fluoride per day. Brushing the teeth...
