Experiencing a city on foot gives you the freedom to amble from one attraction to another, discovering hidden bars, quirky shops, and lesser-known spots along the way. It’s also free and reduces your carbon footprint. But what makes a city pedestrian-friendly? In 2023, the sustainable living nonprofit organization Smart Growth America released their Foot Traffic Ahead report, which analyzed factors such as how easily residents in America’s largest metro areas can walk from their homes to amenities, the distances between blocks, and access to public transportation. So, lace up some comfortable footwear and explore the most walkable cities in the...

Another statue of former President Donald Trump appeared in Philadelphia Thursday — the second in as many days — except larger and more obscene. The detailed 40-foot naked Trump effigy hung by crane on Kensington Avenue to the curiosity, disgust and delight of passersby. The statue looks like one that went up in Madison, which was part of a “Crooked and Obscene Tour,” the Capital Times reported. In the past month, the statue has made appearances in Las Vegas, Detroit and Phoenix. According to the Detroit Free Press, the statue is made of foam and rebar and weighs about 6,000...

The good news: Lots of Philadelphians have voted early, which is key to our plan to save the state, the country and democracy itself. (Again.) According to the Philadelphia City Commissioners, many of us have sent in mail-in and absentee ballots with “various issues that may prevent them from being counted.” These issues include ballots sent in with no secrecy envelope, no signature, no date, etc.

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, who is bringing a lawsuit to stop Elon Musk's $1 million voter giveaway, asked the judge overseeing the case Wednesday to "enhance its security" for an upcoming hearing in the matter. Krasner said in a new court filing Musk's post about the case on X has "triggered an avalanche of posts," including "antisemitic attacks" against the prosecutor. One account was "inviting political violence" and posted Krasner's home address, according to the filing. "These posts, which unquestionable are criminal .... and remain posted on Musk's X website today," the filing states.

Q. How do you know that Kamala Harris' campaign is in desperation mode? A. When a major part of its closing strategy is to attack the voters— including a key component of its base—and a top surrogate describes herself as "frustrated" and "angry" with the electorate! [snip] Co-host Michael Steele addressed himself to: "The young brothers in Detroit and Atlanta, and Philly, Baltimore, across the country. The young men who in this discussion around abortion seemingly have been detached from it by the right. You know, they got this bro culture, you know. It's about the MAN. You know, the...

A desperate Kamala Harris copied Trump and visited a barbershop in Philly to pander to the black community after black women in the deep blue city previously came out in support of Trump. Black voters in Philadelphia are rejecting Kamala Harris and voting for President Trump. “At the end of the day, I don’t think she has what it takes to go up against Putin — and go up against these other presidents that are built for this,” one black female voter in Philly said last week. WATCH: Philadelphia Voter: "At the end of the day, I don't think she...

"In just nine days, we have the power to decide the fate of our nation for generations to come. And on this day, then on this beautiful Sunday morning, I am reminded God expects us to help Him," Harris said through laughter, garnering applause. "We got work to do."

Do not argue with or try to reason with a Black male Trump supporter. He is lost. He does not want to be found. And he is beyond redemption. In the classic 1968 version of “Planet of the Apes,” Cornelius quoted the sacred scrolls by noting, “Beware the beast man, for he is the devil's pawn …. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him. Drive him back into his [treasonous] lair, for he is the harbinger of [political] death.” And in one of his powerful speeches, the...

Black supporters of Donald Trump in Philadelphia shared their reasons for opposing Vice President Kamala Harris with MSNBC in a special election episode of Alex Wagner Tonight. Wagner spoke with members of the Black Republican Club of Philadelphia in the critical swing state of Pennsylvania. Members offered a myriad of reasons for supporting Trump over Harris that ultimately boiled down to her record and qualifications. “She’s a woman of color. I’m not putting her down because of that, and I’m not putting her down because she’s a woman,” Crystal Canty told Wagner. “I’m not a feminist so I’m sorry, but...

MSNBC host Alex Wagner was left in shock after speaking to a group of black women in Philadelphia who told her they were voting for former president Donald Trump, not Kamala Harris. Harris has failed to lock up the black women in Philadelphia thus far. In the video, the ladies said that their reason for voting for Trump had nothing to do with race or sex but rather distrust of Harris. They also said the fact that Harris has been vice president for the last three and a half years has proven she is unable to fix the problems she...

Republican presidential nominee former President Donald Trump’s campaign stop at a McDonald’s in suburban Philadelphia on Sunday has sparked bemusement and bewilderment from onlookers. But the Golden Arches photo op was far from random: it represents the culmination of a yearslong fascination Trump has had with the fast food chain.

Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Officials in Florida's Panhandle predict the transformation of the former glamour cruise liner SS United States into a sunken artificial reef will be a major boost for the region's eco-tourism industry. After a years-long legal battle over its future at Pier 82 in Philadelphia, where it has been docked since 1996, the ship Saturday was officially signed over a week ago to Okaloosa County, Fla. The county plans to submerge the 990-foot vessel in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Destin as part of its long-standing efforts to boost the popularity of sport diving...

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) issued a seemingly triggered response to former President Donald Trump working at a Philadelphia McDonald’s on Sunday. Walz, the vice presidential running mate of Vice President Kamala Harris, responded to a video of Trump wearing an apron at McDonald’s and learning how to make french fries. In his post on X, Walz referenced Harris’s unproven claim that she had previously worked at a McDonald’s. “This guy spent decades stiffing workers pay, cut overtime benefits for millions of people, and opposed any effort to raise the minimum wage,” Walz wrote in his post.

MSNBC host Alex Witt and Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA) criticized former President Donald Trump for his visit to a Philadelphia-area McDonald’s where he served customers, stating that there was “no logic to it.” “He has gone to a McDonald’s,” Witt said. “He’s going to this McDonald’s, and he’s in the Philadelphia area. He’s going to work a fryer, apparently, before he goes to the Steelers versus Jets game. If you’re on his campaign, and I know you are certainly not, I’m not making any implication of that. But, what is the logic behind this — going to a McDonald’s?”

The Donald Trump campaign has announced that it will be holding a "Black Man's Barbershop Talk Roundtable" event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Sunday following his Saturday rally. This comes as the GOP nominee has received a larger portion of support from black males than Republican candidates in recent memory. The Trump campaign announced the event on Saturday, saying, "The Trump Campaign will host a Black Men’s Barbershop Talk Roundtable Event this Sunday in Philadelphia." The campaign added, "Joined by U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) and local community leaders, this event will focus on the challenges facing Black men today, including...

Joe Biden made some concerning remarks about former President Donald Trump while campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris at the Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 Training Center in Philadelphia.
