The NFL will have messages in support of Black Lives Matter and racial justice such as “End Racism” and “It Takes All of Us” displayed on players’ helmets and on playing fields during the opening games of the 2020 season.
Names of some black victims will also be stamped on players’ helmets.
“The NFL informed clubs today of plans to amplify its social justice initiatives, including helmet decals and signage in end zones for kickoff games and club home openers,” NFL reporter Tom Pelissero wrote on Twitter.

The only sport worth watching today is Hockey. The NFL and most other sports are killing themselves with political correctness. I will not mourn their self inflicted ruin.
You have a fine opinion of many fellow Freepers. I’ll have you know that many conservatives stopped watching the NFL when the kneeling started. The viewership of NFL games has steadily declined since. I, for one, have not watched a single game. In fact, I ditched cable TV all together because basically all I would watch was sports and news. I get my news here. I haven’t missed either cable news or sports. I also like the fact that I am no longer giving money to the enemy, namely Comcast.
And yet, just a few years ago, when 5 Dallas officers were ambushed, shot and killed, the Dallas Cowboys wanted to pay respect to those officers killed serving as protection at a Black Lives Matter rally by putting a sticker on the back side of their helmets, and was told by the NFL no, absolutely not.
I’ll keep my tickets for the Texans (for now), but I’m going to be a true capitalist and sell them for as much money as I can, until I can get a valid good offer for the PSL’s, in which I’m 11 rows from the endzone. I paid $600 each for them in 2001 (so, $1200), and I’ve had them listed for $10,000. Unfortunately, with the job market the way it is, no one has the money to buy them for even half that price.
