Truly I don’t think Trump has unlimited political capital to spend with Congress and using on nominating an UNVETTED Ted Cruz for the USSC, mostly to appease his ego and squelch a future disastrous GOP presidential campaign would be a waste of it, imho

I don’t think Trump ever claimed the list was exhaustive and it would be hard to argue that Cruz is unqualified.
Further, Cruz could sit on that court for the next 40 years.
Finally, there are Senators who might otherwise oppose Trump’s first (only?) nominee because of Garland but who would probably let this one slip through just to get Cruz out of the Senate.
Yeah, I know some Freepers here still don’t like him from the campaign but it would be a good move on Trump’s part.

You would be Ok with him deciding a child born to a Palestinian father and an American mother in Saudi Arabia is a natural born citizen eligible to be President?
A decision by the Supreme Court like that would gut in perpetuity the protection the natural born citizen clause provided before the Kenyanesian Usurpation.

But as a matter of principle, I don’t think he should get to determine what ‘natural born’ means
wow I did not even know about this Voting Violation deception...that is not acceptable behavior for a presidential or SC candidate. He should have resigned from the Senate for that
