Trump Wild Cards: Lieberman Touted for State, Cruz for Supreme Court
NewsMax ^ | December 5, 2016 | Mark Swanson

At the risk of "offending" the millions of people who supported and fought for him, Donald Trump should drop Mitt Romney from consideration for Secretary of State, best-selling author and radio host Wayne Allyn Root wrote for Townhall.

He added, there are two darkhorse names the President-elect should consider for his administration: Joe Lieberman and Ted Cruz.

Root, an early supporter of Trump's, makes the case for Cruz for the Supreme Court vacancy, and offers up 5 reasons why Lieberman would be a solid choice for Secretary of State:

•Expand the GOP tent looking ahead to 2020.
•Expand the tent with Jewish voters....

Wow I did not even know about this Voting Violation deception...that is not acceptable behavior for a presidential or SC candidate. He should have resigned from the Senate for that.

I agree. It's simply a matter of ETHICS and the reason why he has been labelled "Lyin' Ted."

Joe Lieberman is alive? I’m being serious. An orthodox Jewish Secretary of State. That’s bold.

Nice post....everybody needs to be reminded about Cruz's
despicable actions, the outright lie that lost Ben votes.

Cruz picking on Ben was really unconscionable.

Trump needs to stick to that list of 21 judges he put out during the campaign. To do otherwise will totally undermine his credibility.

Cruz has an excellent legal background, arguing cases for conservative causes, several before the Supreme Court. He started his legal career as a clerk for Chief Justice Rehnquist.

My guess is that SCOTUS justice would be Cruz's lifetime dream. Plus, the Senate may wish to confirm him to the SCOTUS only to get rid of what to many of them, in both parties, is an annoyance, if not a menace within.

As to his not being on Trump's "list", remember that the two of them had been bitter rivals in the Republican primary process, and now things seem to be simmering down between them. In fact, Cruz's endorsement of Trump weeks before the election could possibly be considered a play on his part for a SCOTUS seat.

There was never an endorsement. Cruz never mentioned the name, TRUMP. His so-called “endorsement” was a suck up to Pence, in Indiana. Cruz simply made inference when asked about TRUMP. He said “You can see the name on the plane”.

Cruz may sense his azz is ashes in TEXAS and Trump has possibly toyed with offering him a rope with which to hang himself with and get him out of TEXAS.

Not sure that the Supreme Court should be the rope, however.
But, I hold grudges and do not to see or hear anything more from morally challenged Cruz. Recall Carson. Recall fixing delegates everywhere, worst case in Colorado, and filling TRUMP earned delegate slots with his own delegates in sooo many states.

Lieberman for Secretary of State? No way. Just because Lieberman is pro-Israel and reasonable regarding foreign relations in general does not mean that he isn’t reflexively liberal regarding everything else. I think that Lieberman would make a great Ambassador to Israel, or to many other countries, but a pro-partial-birth-abortion, pro-union, pro-gun-control liberal is not the person that should serve as Secretary of State.

Regarding Ted Cruz for SCOTUS, sign me up. Win-Win-Win-Win for Trump, the Senate, Texas Republicans and the American people.

THIS JUST IN—In 2016, Lieberman joined the Muslim-Jewish Advisory Council, an organization founded to address anti-Muslim and anti-Jewish bigotry in the United States.[65] Lieberman is also on the advisory board of the Counter Extremism Project (CEP). (hat tip wiki)

NICE TAKE, R/OK.

Cruz may sense his azz is ashes in TEXAS......

Nowadays, onetime Cruz supporters in Texas are airing their gripes----many are p!ssed at Cruz for not disclosing that as a Senate candidate, he was still a Canadian citizen. And is now expecting the whole country to rationalize that he's a NBC and eligible for the office......

Cruz got clobbered a long time ago...he just hasn't hit the floor, yet.

============================================

The buzz is Cruz is in big trouble in Texas

Candidate Cruz heaped a load OF BS on voting Texans:

<><> "I didn't know I was a Canadian citizen when I ran for the US Senate until the media exposed it."

<><> "I told Texas voters wifey and I were liquidating family assets so I could get into the Senate."

<><> "I didn't know I was supposed to tell the FEC I borrowed over a million from my Wall Street margin accounts to fund my campaign."

<><> "I told Mark Levin the borrowed funds were used for campaign ads....but I didn't report this as required. "

<><> And so on and so forth, ad infinitum, ad nauseaum.

========================================

Cruz better get packing for Calgary.

BACKSTORY--In Texas, Cruz/s Senate election fairy tale has become legendary......portraying himself to Texans as a scrappy populist putting everything on the line to overcome a wealthy establishment opponent.

He was whining in the media, telling Texans that he, and his faithful little wife (a $700,000 globalist lawyer employed by G/S), were forced to liquidate their entire family savings (of slightly more than $1 million) to fuel a come-from-behind win in the Republican primary.

NOW TEXANS LEARN Cruz did not liquidate family assets.....he got his hands on over a million dollars from his hefty margin accounts at G/S and Citibank......and did not disclose this on FEC reports (to keep it a secret from Texans).

Cruz did not disclose loans on FEC reports (required by law) b/c Texans would have discovered he was not the aw-shucks rube he pretended to be. He continued the rube act in order to milk votes.

At the same time, he also did not disclose he was a Canadian citizen......the Harvard-educated lawyer w/ two Ivy League degrees said "he didn't know".

When the Dallas Morning News published Cruz/s Canadian birth certificate, Cruz put Texas through the charade of renouncing his Canadian citizenship.....even though Canada did not recognize dual citizenship at the time of his birth.

=============================================

I wouldn't want Romney that high on a list, either ... but that's where I put him among the people listed there.

I wish there were better people on the list!

PRICELESS REPORT, Liz!!!

Texans tend to carry a grudge.

Not sure this snake has held on to even all that many of the “religious zealot” Texas ground troops he smarmied into delegates, who cheerfully muscled out the TRUMP earned delegates, replacing them with his own, in the name of God and the Constitution, which somehow Cruz managed to ride in on.

His aim was to make fools of Texans to get into the US Senate and the White House.

Cruz should not be on the Supreme Court, for reasons of his own political and moral shenanigans.

Thank you very much.

Nonsense. Ted Cruz is completely ideologically compatible with Trump's potential nominee list, and President Trump going "off the board" and selecting Ted Cruz in this instance would be a perfectly appropriate.

"To do otherwise will totally undermine his credibility"? Maybe in your mind, but methinks most intellectually honest folk would not respond in such a manner...

It’s OVER when we SAY it is OVER! There is a ground swell to get this snake out of TEXAS. If you drank the damn venom Cruz poured out and still like it, that’s your problem.

The rest of us won’t get hit twice without a fight.

Obviously you failed utterly to follow the political agenda of Tedlit Cruz. There are no words to convey the danger in being so asleep at the Cruz wheel that you totally missed the clear and present danger of Cruz particularly when his words are clearly on the record side by side with his actual actions.

No wonder we have RINO’s running our Republic out of business.

EXCELLENT. A crack video post! A keeper.

If this globalist goon raises his moneyed head in TEXAS, we’re going to need a little chapter and verse of Cruz pony tricks hidden in his typical speechless and pointless oratory just as he performed it here. Dead in the water for Americans, and high pie for everyone else. Typical globalist enabler and well funded by them and their interests.

To: RitaOK; Just mythoughts
Recall that St Ted said we were inferior low-info voters who couldn't possible understand the global challenges ahead. BTW, Ted and Heidi Cruz/s economic libertarianism dovetails nicely w/ globalist Goldman/Sachs---who financed Ted into office. G/S is Heidi's $700,000 a year employer. Heidi served on G/S North American Union Committee.

Heidi Cruz’ NAU comment is under Additional and Dissenting Opinions on pages 33 and 34 of the paper. Taken directly from the paper.

[quoting Heidi Cruz ...] I support the Task Force report and its recommendations aimed at building a safer and more prosperous North America. Economic prosperity and a world safe from terrorism and other security threats are no doubt inextricably linked. While governments play an invaluable role in both regards, we must emphasize the imperative that economic investment be led and perpetuated by the private sector. There is no force proven like the market for aligning incentives, sourcing capital, and producing results like financial markets and profit-making businesses. This is simply necessary to sustain a higher living standard for the poorest among us—truly the measure of our success. As such, investment funds and financing mechanisms should be deemed attractive instruments by those committing the capital and should only be developed in conjunction with market participants. — Heidi S. Cruz
