Less than 100 days before the general election, Donald Trump has still not spent a dime on television advertising, even as Hillary Clinton floods the airwaves with tens of millions of dollars in ad spending.
According to an analysis by NBC News, the Democratic presidential nominee's campaign has spent $52 million on television ads, many of which have been concentrated in the battleground states that will be critical in determining the outcome of the election.
The Trump campaign, by comparison, has spent zero dollars. Even the two third-party presidential candidates, Green Party nominee Jill Stein and Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson, have outspent Trump, the GOP nominee. Steins campaign has spent $189,000, while Johnsons campaign has spent $15,000.

And Trump realizes that people avoid TV ads like the plague.
I dont even have cable. I haven’t seen an ad all season unless I clicked on a link on FR to purposely view it.
I’ve hung up on more than a few survey takers over the summer, both here and at my parents’; all of us are Trump supporters.
Clintons won the 96 election by running early state by state ad during the summer, destoying Dole.
Trump has to answer some of this crap soon.
The last 30 days is when you want to stasrt Pou di g the negative ads on Hillary.
Bingo!
Yup, and the usual nervous-nellies "experts" who can't evaluate the process are all upset Trump isn't wasting hundreds of millions in worthless advertising prematurely.
If they were in a ground combat situation, they'd be out of ammo before they could draw a bead on the enemy.
I'm guessing there will be a barrage of impressive ads in late October.
.
In case you haven’t noticed, Trump has not run his campaign like any other. He shot down 16 other candidates, most of whom are career politicians and has spent very little money. He’s a billionaire, international business tycoon, planner and strategist; not a follower.
Better argument than I expected to hear!
Well said, very astute.
I would likeTrump to spend some money on ads that air during the Olympics! Huge audience and many deems that wouldn’t otherwise be willing to hear an honest word about the Donald!
In fact, Trump should compare himself to the rebel base from Sar Wars and Hillary as the evil empire!
Good point, when is the earliest of early voting? Before 1st debate even?
I like those too, he explained in simple English what was happening. Would love to see a couple of those by Trump.
No amount of ads will overcome 99% of the media, establishment, and chamber of commerce against you. He has a different plan..
The Democrat networks are terrified that a Trump win would kill the idea that a candidate can’t win unless they raise a billion dollars from Fat Cats and then spend most of it on TV ads...ads that most people hate. If Trump could break that mold, it would be a good thing for the country.
What you said + 90% democrat voting media critters.
Nobody falls for or believes political ads except for those already convinced.
