In a chin-stroking Politico piece, David Plouffe and other Obama-Clinton senior strategists act as if there isn’t even a presidential race and this year isn’t even a contest.

“You want people to feel as passionate about Hillary Clinton being president as they do about stopping Donald Trump,” President Obama’s 2008 campaign manager told the website, “If this isn’t a close race it’s going to matter a great deal for her presidency.”

Geez Louise.

The whole point of the piece is about how Obama sees his role in the election and how to win the race for Clinton in such a way that hers is a ratifying presidency, putting the seal of permanency on Obama’s ambitious if inchoate agenda.

And it’s peak Obamaism....

Honestly, the Democrats should hope for a Trump presidency — because if that doesn’t happen, the perception for a lot of people will be that the Ballot Box has failed and that almost all the Boxes of Liberty will have been exhausted. Only the cartridge box will be left.

Seriously, this country probably needs to split into more than one political unit. The secession will be slowed down (possibly even stopped) if voters think they actually put a true change agent in the White House. But if Hillary gets in instead, than what is left to lose? Stop paying taxes, ignore laws, and let it all hang out. Go for broke, because this bed’s on fire.

Hillary's run for office is really just a third term for Bill. She's even said she's going to put him in charge of the economy.
