Pressure for one last attempt to dump Donald Trump built among Republicans on Sunday, as the party’s leader appeared to encourage a possible revolt that could still see an alternative nominee chosen at next month’s national convention.
After a week in which the presumptive nominee appalled many colleagues with his reaction to a shooting massacre in Orlando, House speaker Paul Ryan made clear he would not try to obstruct any rebellion against Trump by delegates in Cleveland.
“They write the rules, they make the decisions,” he told NBC’s Meet the Press. “All I want to make sure is to make sure it is done above board, clearly, honestly and by the rules.”
As the highest-ranking Republican in Congress, Ryan will serve as chairman of the party’s convention in late July, when delegates won through primaries formally elect a nominee....

If the Republican convention “dumps Trump”, there is NO WAY that a Republican can be elected President in 2016!!!!
And the chances for Republican (or Independent) candidates for Congress, the Senate, or governorships to win against Democrats will be slim indeed!!!!
A Crooked Hillary clinton Presidency will mean WAR with Russia!! Count on it!!!! Such a war will be likely to be nuclear, and most of us will end up DEAD!!!!
So if Republicans do not want to trigger national and world suicide, they should get behind Trump ASAP, and work with hm to win elections!!!!

They fully, completely, absolutely realize that. They know that. But it is much more important to stop Trump than win the election.

Paul Ryan has committed treason against the U.S. Constitution and the American people.

I have no idea what you just said but, it seems argumentative.
Most Americans I have met can not recite 5 Amendments from the constitution. So the constitution can’t be the reason.
Freedom? There is plenty of “freedom” to hold gay pride parades, late term abortions easily available, hashish is legal, transgenders allowed to use bathrooms of their choice, etc. So lack of freedom can’t be the reason.
Your item “years of declining wages” gets closer to the mark, why Trump beat out 16 other professional smooth talking career politicians. 94 million American adults have no wages at all. They are the ones flocking to Trump rallies. They certainly have free time on their hands.
People are genuinely scared of their economic futures. And the radical Islamist terrorists murdering innocent Americans is another reason why Trump has resonated with voters.
