A bar bet on Trump’s appeal to African-Americans(Says Trump can reach 20% of black voters)

If you had a decent history teacher in high school, you were taught that European democracies are slightly different from those in the Americas, both north and south.

Democracies in this Western Hemisphere tend to be ethnic stews governed, with varying degrees of faithfulness, by constitutions and compacts. European democracies are built around nationalities — tribes of same-language peoples.

A President Donald Trump and his “great again” appeals would push us closer toward the European model than we already are, his critics contend. If they’re right, a heightened season of racial tension could be in our Southern future. Some of those we have placed in charge of our consciences have already begun to stir.

Citing a “waiting reservoir … of inherent racism” tapped by Trump, former President Jimmy Carter this week announced a September gathering in Atlanta aimed at ending segregation among many Baptist congregations....

It would be critical if he hits those numbers in PA, VA & MI....if he gets 15-17% of blacks there he wins all 3 states.

Disagree. Trump will tie or possibly exceed Reagan’s 14%, but no Republican since JFK has broken 20%. BTW, at 14% Trump wins a landslide.

I think Trump could easily get to 25% or more PROVIDED he makes it clear what he offers, and contrasts it with the Democrat nominee. Specifically he needs to explain that many of the American jobs that he’ll create (such as through oil drilling) or he’ll bring back (with better trade deals) means millions of WELL PAYING jobs for blacks.

What’s the Democrat response? Increase welfare spending? Single Payer? He’ll nail them down if he does that and the race card will be MUCH LESS EFFECTIVE.

For a number of odd reasons related to group psychology, I think Trump either gets 8-12% or gets 25 to 30% of the Black Vote, and I do not think that he would get in between those ranges. Mostly it is rated to does the group identity hold.

That is the result of collectivism and leftism in the mostly black neighborhoods, I fail to see how defending Clinton who wants to give mass amnesty to Illegals will help places like Chicago, it is not PC but its the truth.
