Why Bernie’s Crushing Trump (He hasn't been vetted)
The Daily Beast ^ | May 23, 2016 | Michael Tomasky

If Sanders were somehow able to beat Clinton, he’d be the least vetted, most vulnerable major-party nominee in American history.

So Bernie’s still at it, telling George Stephanopoulos on Sunday that he thinks it’s not impossible for him to get 70 percent of the vote in every remaining state. Impossible. If anyone’s likely to hit 70 anywhere, it’s Hillary Clinton in Puerto Rico. Maybe Sanders can do it in the Dakotas, but even that seems ludicrous, because those states have primaries, not caucuses, and he’s never won a primary by that kind of margin except in his home state.

But he does make one argument that is numerically, for the nonce, irrefutable: that he polls better against Donald Trump than Hillary Clinton does. That’s the only argument he has at this point that deserves to be taken seriously. So let’s take it seriously.

Earlier this year, I used to think Sanders was totally unelectable and it was obvious that Clinton was the more electable of the two. I no longer think it’s quite the slam dunk I used to. All of these bullet points will be worth their own column in the coming months, or more than one, but quickly....

Trump (or any Republican) would probably beat Sanders with 45 states. Blacks don’t like Sanders, Mexicans don’t like Sanders, Jews don’t like him (Hillary is winning their votes now against him), and non-guilty self-liking white people (Republicans) don’t like him. I hope Bernie somehow gets the nomination so he can give President Trump a mandate.

Trump vs. Bernie would be a great contest of how well Trump’s capitalism does against Bernie’s communism.

"A median household is around $53,000. Most such households pay an effective tax rate of around 11 percent, or $5,800. From $5,800 to $10,500 constitutes a 45 percent increase."

duh, no, $4,700 is not "45%" of $5,800.... it is 81%
.... so Sanders is calling for an 81% increase, not 45%. Liberal twit journalist is numerically incompetent....
... or in looser English language, Sanders wants to nearly double the tax paid in this income bracket. Of course he claims a lot will be offset by not paying separately for healthcare coverage, but only the true believers will fall for that one.

With what’s going on in Venezuela right now, it should be easy to link Bernie’s proposals and policies with the disastrous results of socialism with first-hand real time examples from down south if it should become necessary.....

Clinton and Sander's communism is interchangeable.

He is simply more honest about it.

Hillard has SO MUCH CORRUPT and Incompetence Baggage, she will be EZ for Trump to deal with in the election

but he needs to have a team working up material about Bernie, because I STILL think the D super delegates will want to nominate anybody but Hillary... they want to WIN, not LOSE in a ROUT!

we will see. they may stay bought off ... but at least if Hillary’s checks have cleared the bank, they COULD dump her and try to save their party in November

Here in Washington state everyone seems to either be Trump or Sanders.

There is not one Hillary bumper sticker. No Hillary at all. Not much Trump - everyone is afraid of fascist vandalism of cars by the libtards - but the Trump rally a few weeks ago was Yuuuuuge.

more like “crony capitalism” for her, but still better than outright communism. She at least doesn’t think all banks are evil.

” She at least doesn’t think all banks are evil.”

and certainly not Investment Banks, where her evil spawn via Webb Hubbell draws a paycheck.

For a price, Clinton will say or feel anything you want.

However, her method of government, were it to be implemented, would be of a despot, offing the heads of all those who disagree.

Her most closely paralleled "ruler" would that fine north Korean fella. The one fond of mortars.

Socialism would be a tool for her, to maintain control.
