It’s A Time For Choosing And That’s Why I Must Choose Cruz
The Louisiana Hayride ^ | February 2, 2016 | Kevin Boyd

I have been struggling to decide who to vote for president. This field that was hyped as the "most talented in a generation" has turned out to be a field full of mediocrities. Standing atop the field until last night was a vulgar carnival barker and reality TV star. Instead of a debate on ideas, we have mindless sloganeering and empty words.

Donald Trump absolutely cannot be the Republican nominee. Trump is not a conservative, he has not fought with conservatives, and he has actively aided and funded the enemies of conservatives. It's more than that though. To nominate Trump would be to reward a demagogue for his demagoguery. We're not going to rehash his idiotic proposals and vulgar remarks, but someone like that should not be representing conservatives and a major political party.

Now the task at hand is to support someone who actually can defeat Trump. I hesitated to align behind a presidential candidate and I even gave strong thought to not voting in the Louisiana primary on March 5th. But I can't sit on the sidelines and let Trump get the nomination unopposed....

I really thought the time was right for Conservatives to finally win. It seems that people have just come to back the big show over substance and principles. I’m afraid this will again give us the government we don’t want, but we collectively deserve.

The Republican winner of the New Hampshire primary doesn’t always go on to win the nomination. If you don’t believe me, just ask President Pat Buchanan and President Henry Cabot Lodge.

Trump supporters think of Donald Trump as “decisive”. That is, Donald Trump is not a pussy. Lets take a look at what Donald has said he will do:

He has spoken and written about canceling Obama’s unconstitutional Executive Actions. He requires no congressional approval to do this.

He has spoken and written about rolling back 20 years of oppressive Federal Regulations. As long as he works within the current stupid laws that transfer entirely too much power to the Executive, he doesn’t need Congress to do this.

He has written and talked about working with Congress to repeal and replace Obamacare, to change the Tax code, to rebuild the military, to build a Wall and make Mexico pay for it. He has said he will get everyone in a room and work these things out.

The Congressional Committee system and regular order actually would be useful in this regard, because he can have committees and sub-committees over to the Whitehouse to talk these things out. I know that the “conservatives” have said they want to return to regular order, instead of these late-night omnibus bills. This will give them the chance to do this whether they really want to or not.

He is going to be an active, hands-on President of the United States. Based on how he is running his campaign, it is very likely that we will get to know how things are going every day.

Now this is going to be very different from the way things have been. You will actually know what is going on as we Make American Great Again! You won’t wake up and find that the GOPee has sold you down the river again.

So what are you guys really afraid of?

Conservatives have failed us for the last 10 years. They keep parroting that they are the best but they have done nothing for the country in 10 years. The country is in shambles and now the conservatives want to take over again. Forget it!

They need to offer a little more than saying we are conservative vote for us! They need to create results. So far in the last 10 years have created nothing.

It's A Time For Choosing And That's Why I Must Choose Cruz.

And I still choose Trump.
And I am sure nobody gives a rat's elbow what MY choice is, either.

I wouldn’t vote for Trump. If Trump is nominated I will find a name to write-in.

Absolutely support Trump. We have spent years having to worry about what we can say so the PC police don’t attack. And spent years watching those we elect sells us out to those who had the big bucks to fund them. Trump has shown us we can stop the PC and see who owns the politicians. Go Trump!

Everybody expected Trump. But to get trumped by sad sack Kasich, that’s what really hurts.

More than one American knows a blowhard when he sees one.

“You know, it doesn’t bother me that Trump acts like an immature 8th grader, it is that there are so many people, some of them good Christians, who are feeling so helpless and frustrated by what has happened these last seven years that they are willing to excuse and even welcome his behavior.” -BG

The visceral repudiation of all that is Obama and liberal ideology has a way of overreacting. Trump support is a manifestation of that.

When you think about how low Trump puts the bar and what that means in the future of the possibilities from the Democrat party, it is actually scary. Heck look how low they will go inside the political class with Bernie. Now imagine outside.

I choose Trump! He is capable of getting laws passed. Unlike Cruz who has only sponsored and passed one bill since entering the Senate.

Which laws did Trump get passed?
