Donald Trump continues to lead all Republican candidates in the latest Economist/You Gov Poll despite criticism of some statements he made during the GOP debate earlier this month. His closest competitor (far behind Trump) is another candidate without a political resume former neurosurgeon Ben Carson, narrowly ahead of two Floridians, former Governor Jeb Bush and current Senator Marco Rubio.
Trump is just about as likely to be named as the Republicans second choice as each of the other top four. His ride at the top of opinion polls more than four months before the first official presidential nominating event has lasted much longer than many pundits predicted.
Do you really think it would be eight years? I could see Trump cleaning up the mess then going back to his business empire. He’ll be in his mid-70s after one term...
I agree with you, I think after one term he will have gotten a good handle on getting things fixed and go back to what he enjoys. Especially if he thinks there is someone who WILL continue what he starts.
YouGov (also known as UGov) is an international internet-based market research firm, headquartered in the UK, with operations in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.[2]
YouGov was founded in the UK in May 2000 by Stephan Shakespeare and Nadhim Zahawi.
Tomorrow is the Fourth of July, when Americans celebrate Independence Day. But a YouGov survey for The Daily Telegraph suggests that the Stars and Stripes will be flying at half mast in the eyes of most Britons. There has probably never been a time when America was held in such low esteem on this side of the Atlantic.
Keep in mind they will never vote for Bush, Walker, Cruz, Rubio. May be they will consider Carson if he is the nominee, because I heard positive things about Carson from them.
Forbes? Some kind of flat tax then. My opinion? It needs to have a very, very gradual tax rate, without the steep hard rates increases we have now.
A good selling point would be maybe a 5 year averaging option up front. This would be a good selling point for people now entering the workforce with increasing salaries. It would give them more spendable income and help with college loans.
Change that, Cruz not so much a Republican.
That's why the puppetmasters should give up on their Jeb investment, step aside, and let it happen. If they cede their control of the party, I really doubt they'll stop being rich and privileged.
You’re right. Trump’s support comes from all different areas that have traditionally been described as repub, dem, or indie.
He pulls repubs, deems, and indies on issues dear to them all, including immigration reform, the economy, and traditional American beliefs like a strong military and hatred of pc speech.
If Trump goes indie he wins with 45%.
But I think it’s bush who will try to go indie after he does not get the r nomination.
A typical republican politician = in pocket of rich donors, pushes for cheap labor express of immigrants (legal&illegal), does nothing to help middle class. They will never build the wall because their rich donors are against it.
I agree with Trump. Bush-43 was in charge, and therefore responsible for the 2008 financial crisis. Let us face the blunt truth, Bush-43 was never a financial genius by a long shot.
The previous president, Bill Clinton, caused no financial crisis in US. Actually jobs & economy grew strongly from 1992-2000. Just the facts, ma’am.
Trump is ALL MALE. There is no doubt about his manliness. He says things the girly boys running do not. The girly boys would rather rumpture their drawers than use a PC word. They would rather talk about fake science (climate change) than problems that are happening in this country. He’s promised to back the police, fully, make our military stronger, make sure veterans have their due, bring back work for anyone who needed work, STRNGTHEN our borders, look at visas and make sure those out of date visas holders are shipped back where they came from. These are just a few things he’s mentioned. I haven’t heard or read about any of the wannabeas talk about these things. We’ve had members of GOPe hanging around from 8 to 30 some years and we’ve lost jobs during their tenure, lost respect from other countries, and the list goes on. We finally have a
Man like my Dad with a pair, made of brass.
We agree with that.
Well most Britons are putting up with muslims insulting them daily and taking over their country. We may be vulgar, but as of this moment, we have not become muslimized.
My take, too.
you are quite right, your points are well taken.....
let me re-up my speculations in about 3 months or so!!
Thanks for posting. HOORAY Trump
Barely 5 months to Iowa caucus?
“A effeminate socialist phony is trying to hurt our country.”
If you’re referring to Trump and using the word, “effeminate”, it appears that women in his life believe he’s all man in... well... EVERY way.
