A shutdown might result in him not getting paid - only those considered essential remain active during a shutdown - and he’d have to dip into his “campaign coffers” to subsist. Those are meant to be his retirement fund.
These people make me ill.
Regarding federal funding of abortion mills, please consider the following. Regardless that Boehner’s House has read the Constitution out loud at the beginnings of the last three legislative sessions, the House has nonetheless ignored that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to tax and spend for anything like Planned Parenthood (PP). So the House was not only wrong to make bills which appropriated tax dollars for such a purpose, but the corrupt Senate was wrong to help the House pass such a bill.
Note that if the Senate was still elected uniquely by state legislatures as the Founding States had intended, then the Senate would probably have killed any bill that provided funding for PP. So the sinful practices of PP are another reason why the ill-conceived 17th Amendment should never have been ratified and needs to be repealed.
Corrupt, Constitution-ignoring Congress got away with winning votes by appropriating funds for abortion mills because low-information voters have probably never been taught about the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers.
He opposes standing up to pee.
If you won’t take it to the mat for life, what would you stand on?
If it is not funded, that isn’t shutting the government down. Seems like the president might be the one doing the shutting down.
