Lindsey Graham Confirms that McConnell Lied
Conservative Review ^ | 7/28/2015 | Daniel Horowitz

Posted on 07/28/2015 7:14:56 PM PDT by VinL

Nothing embodies our broken political system more than the fact that some politicians are more concerned about calling someone a liar than the actual lying.

In a Sunday speech on the Senate floor full of pomp and sanctimony, Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) said the following referring to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX):

“Most egregiously, Mr. President, the Senate floor has even become a place where Senators have singled out colleagues by name to attack them in personal terms and to impugn their character—in blatant disregard of Senate rules, which plainly prohibit such conduct.”

Roll Call proudly published an article disseminating Hatch’s narrative by showing how the revered KKK Kleagle, Robert Byrd, once complained about a senator calling Clinton a liar and ruining the decorum of the chamber.

Fox News’s Brit Hume is frothing at the mouth with disdain for Cruz.

But somehow none of these ruling class individuals were the least upset about the underlying issue – that Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), the GOP party leader, had indeed told a bald-faced lie both privately and publicly, as confirmed by every major news outlet on May 21 and… Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)!

Let’s review the ancient history from…May 21, 2015. (snip)

I've only posted an excerpt because the author supports his argument with photos and tweets, that don't reproduce here. Those interested in the matter, should visit the source. Clearly, as we all know, Mitch made the deal.

Politicians who lie? -- not a problem.
Politicians who tell the truth? -- huge -- HUGE -- problem. The whole world is outraged.

And lest we Texans forget, the senior senator from our beloved state, John Cornyn, got his albino mug in front of the cameras yesterday to say that McConnell did not lie because no one else heard him promise not to make a deal to attach the Ex-I’m Bank to the Highway Bill. So Cornyn was lying too. Having that coward representing Texas is a dang shame that must be corrected ASAP.

Midge....Busted....by Linda!

THIS. Is. RICH!!

Here’s an excerpt of Linda’s *confirmation*.....

“I’ve never felt better about the opportunity to reauthorize EXIM Bank than I do today,” said Graham. “I want to thank Majority Leader McConnell and my Senate colleagues for working together to ensure a vote on the bank’s reauthorization in June before its charter expires.

“However, the most important aspect of the agreement is we will also have the opportunity to vote on EXIM reauthorization attached to the Highway Trust Fund reauthorization,” said Graham. “I’m confident the combination of these two votes will demonstrate strong bipartisan support for the bank and will ultimately lead to its reauthorization.”

Dateline: May 21 2015

Grab it...before Linda and Midge have it scrubbed!

Shame on Quisling Hatch for calling out Sen Cruz....who was telling the TRUTH to/about the Liar’s Club.

Midge should step down, NOW! And, take the lying Hatch and Linda with him.

So as a Texan, did you vote for Cornyn? Someone sure as hell did! That turd has been around so long, he probably won’t fit down the drain.

Love the saying.

Hume was foaming at the mouth. Don’t think he gives spit about McConnel or Boner for that matter, Bret is fretting about Cruz getting more ‘rein time’ than whomever he’s liking, jeb likely.

As someone who tried, hoped, wished someone able to actually campaign would have run against Kornin, but no one did.

Voted for kornin is the General, the only choice was korn or dem.

McConnell then huddled in the well of the Senate floor with a group of pro-trade Democrats, including Cantwell, Murray and Sens. Bill Nelson (Fla.), Tom Carper (Del.), Heidi Heitkamp (N.D.) and Ron Wyden (Ore.), the ranking Democrat on the Finance Committee.

The breakthrough came when McConnell promised Cantwell that he would schedule a vote next month on an amendment authorizing the Export-Import Bank.

As soon as he did, Cantwell wheeled around and voted “Aye,” followed in quick succession by Murray, Heitkamp and Sens. Chris Coons (D-Del.) and Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.).

McConnell’s proposal also pushed Graham, who was also in the huddle to vote yes.

“Most egregiously, Mr. President, the Senate floor has even become a place where Senators have singled out colleagues by name to attack them in personal terms and to impugn their character—in blatant disregard of Senate rules, which plainly prohibit such conduct.”

So he goes on the Senate floor to attack and impugn the character of a fellow senator for allegedly doing the same?

The real crime Cruz committed was telling the truth. They cannot let him get away with that.
