On March 23rd, Ted Cruz became the first to throw in his name to run for the Republican presidential nomination. On Tuesday, March 31st, enthusiasts from all over the state came to the Grand Opening of his presidential headquarters in Houston, Texas. It was a joyous occasion. Americans are hungry for a change from doom and gloom to a new dawn. His presidential campaign logo signifies this very premise, "Reigniting the Promise of America." Cruz is a dynamic courageous conservative that will energize the many angry, restless and hurting Americans into a positive force against progressivism.
The response to his Meet and Greet was an overwhelming success indicating that Americans are indeed ready for a new dawn. Over 500 happy and eager fans went to Houston to Meet and Greet, in whom they believe will be the next president of the United States, in spite of the negative attacks on the junior senator. The media remains unyielding in their assaults when it comes to the steadfast and outspoken Cruz.
Personal attacks including the birthers reaction about his citizenship and that he is not a Hispanic American is absurd. Trivial as it may seem, his campaign logo was criticized as was his TV ad and even his passion to express himself when he addresses an audience. All these strikes, it seems, did not faze the presidential candidate or his supporters. In fact, Cruz drew $2,000,000 the first two days of his campaign and $4,000,000 from across the country in eight days.
Rafael Cruz, father of Ted, mingled with the aficionados expressing his gratitude. Because of the overwhelming amount of people in attendance, Cruz time was limited to a photo opportunity. Cookies and Ted Cruz bottled water were given to those waiting for the chance to greet him. Attendees were given a quick tour of the spacious headquarters where campaign business will be conducted in his bid for the nomination.
Heidi Cruz welcomed the crowd and proudly introduced her husband, Ted, emphasizing that he really cares, he really believes. Heidi certainly has the sparkle and graciousness necessary to be a first lady. His two daughters, Caroline and Catherine, were also present at the grand opening.
Cruz addressed the crowd with his usual candor and conservative appeal, and in campaign mode told the crowd, We understand that our rights they dont come from government, they come from God Almighty. That we are here standing on some very simply common sense propositions. Live within your means stop bankrupting our kids and grandkids and follow the Constitution. These are principles that unite us. They are principles that bring us together from every walk of life. This is a movement of courageous conservatives.
More than ever, America needs and wants someone that they can trust and believe in. Ted Cruz is such a man.

he was born a US AND canadian citizen. he could get passports for both countries day one. he had to CHOOSE which country to align with... which is why he dropped the canadian citizenship recently.
which i’ll promptly ignore. if you cannot be bothered to respond properly in-thread, then it’s not worth reading.
Link?
I gave you the link to this post for your reference.
you’re joking, right?
if william & kate’s kid were born in NYC, they’re US citizens (check state.gov for info on citizenship at birth rules)
if you’re talking about TCruz, anyone born in canada is a canadian citizen at birth. the fact that TCruz had an American mother was secondary and led to his US citizenship
it also gives him the ability to choose which citizenship he wants to use... which negates the possibility of him being a natural born citizen of either
they’re == he’s a
A friendly reminder....
Is Ted Cruz a natural-born citizen eligible to serve as president? [Yes! And I support him! JimRob]
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3084490/posts
keep in mind, i believe if TCruz gets the nomination, the left will immediately move to disqualify him. this is what they want and when they want it. if they can convince the right to nominate an easily disqualified candidate, then the right will be hobbled going into the election... resulting in an automatic win for their candidate (ewarren)
and which side do you think yahoo is pushing for?
but the case also highlighted the fact that a natural born citizen required on the soil of two citizen parents.
It sounds like you have more faith in the left than you do in Sen Cruz.
I don’t fear the left, or Yahoo, when it comes to Sen Cruz’ ability to know right from wrong.
i have more faith in blind ambition, greed, and people’s ability to follow like lemmings
the left will do anything they can to get into the WH. if that means helping TCruz get the nomination only to be swatted down 2 weeks later, then they’re good with that
By the way, sten, who are you pulling for?
” result: EWarren wins on a walk “
I beg of thee, Sire....putteth down the crack pipe !
i’m not pulling for anyone at the moment, tho TCruz is making all the right noises.
though i’m definitely pulling for anyone that’s not a dem/progressive/big-govt-stooge
and i’d really prefer to avoid another RPerot scenario
(get excited about a candidate only for him to back down going into the primaries... then step back, glitching momentum and insuring the win for bjclinton)
There is no beyond a shadow of doubt evidence that Obama was born on US soil.
We still haven’t seen the original birth certificate.
There is no proof that Obama was born in Hawaii.
But yes, this clarification needs to be taken care of now, in writing before the left has Ted Cruz declared ineligible.
He was in the Navy and they were stationed in Italy. Thier youngest child was born there and automatically is given dual citizenship.
Is he eligible, by your rules?
dem candidate:
it won’t be hildabeast, as she’ll be dodging criminal charges... avoiding jail only because of the blackmail she has on 0bama. that leaves ewarren... who 0bama has been quoting for years
gop candidate:
rubio? tcruz? similar problems but tcruz is easier to dismiss as the ‘not on the soil’ argument is a slam dunk. rubio had two cuban citizen parents when he was born, putting him in the same camp as 0bama. still ineligible, but tougher for the left to argue. rubio is also pro amnesty... something the base is against. my guess, tcruz gets the nod in the primary.
final lap:
tcruz and ewarren come to the line... and the dems file with the court to disqualify tcruz (just like hrclinton tried to do w/ 0bama... but she didn’t count on the pro-0bama judge and the motion got tossed). with tcruz disqualified, the gop will look to rubio... who has no momentum and looks like sloppy seconds.
much of the gop base will stay home. the dems, fresh off slaying the dragon that is tcruz, will have a huge turn out for their nominee... and ewarren wins on a walk
at which point, i move to another country as i don’t want to live in commie russia
