Ted Cruz lashes out over gay marriage fight, and some targets might be surprising

No one can have a doubt about where Ted Cruz stands on the controversy swirling around Indiana’s Restoration of Religious Freedom Act.

He made it crystal clear Wednesday night.

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

And in the process the Texas senator called out Republican politicians and the executives of Fortune 500 companies that he said have been running scared from the issue of religious freedom in the face of relentless attacks from the left under the guise of gay rights.

“Religious liberty is not some fringe view. It is the basis of this country,” Cruz said during a town hall meeting in Sioux City, Iowa, a crucial stop in his campaign to win the Republican nomination for president.

That view has changed, and Cruz told the crowd why he thinks that happened.

“Unfortunately the modern Democratic Party has elevated extreme partisanship and in particular this is all part and parcel over the fight over gay marriage,” he said. “

“And because of their partisan desire to mandate gay marriage everywhere in this country, they also want to persecute anyone that has a good faith religious belief that marriage is a holy sacrament between the union of one man and one woman and ordained as a covenant by God.”

But Cruz didn’t stop at Democrats.

Big business, he said, has “been running shamelessly to endorse the radical gay marriage agenda over religious liberties ….”

“Sadly, a whole lot of Republican politicians are terrified of this issue,” Cruz said.

Clearly, he isn’t one of them.

These words drip like water to a man dying of thirst. Their taste is so very sweet.

That Germanwings plane that was deliberately crashed into a mountain by that gay pilot in France was the result of Gay Rage Terrorism to punish heterosexuals

I have not seen confirmation that he was "gay". Do you know of a story claiming this?

If we gave them all the weed then, would they go away and stop trying to inflict their utopia on us?

See, Lefties never really get this. I believe that the Catholic Church sees marriage as one of the vocations. Now, I do have to admit that this whole fiasco is partially the fault of heterosexuals who seem to have no problem with serial matrimony and frequent divorces. But, for those of us who actually recognize the importance of marriage, not only to the individuals but to the community itself, marriage is important for the couple, for the children that they bring into the marriage; and, for the community as it produces a stable society. A lot of people have lost sight of that, and what we are experiencing now is a result of our not taking marriage seriously, ourselves.

Isn't Ted supposed to be cowering and cringing and apologizing? What's WRONG with him?

he's a rarity these days - a republican with a spine and a moral compass. I am still wondering how Boehner and McConnell are our "leaders", when there are folks like Crux around.

The Uniparty doesn't like those who fight back.

Just ask Sarah Palin, not that she would ever apologize for Spitting in the Uniparty' eye.

The nice thing is that we’re a little wiser to their tactics. And the rank and file is a whole lot more willing to scrap it out.

Ted Cruz said the following to Brietbart:

““The reason, unfortunately, is because the modern Democratic Party has decided a political commitment to mandating gay marriage trumps any fidelity of the First Amendment.”

*** Rush was just talking about this today; about the left’s “mandate on gay marriage”. What Cruz said is the exact thing that needs to be said to the left .. and it’s up to us - the “Courageous Conservatives” to step up and stop cowering in the corner because of anything the left ever has to say. ***

These leftists and their radicals are destroying this country, and they elected a radical president to finish the job. Just how much longer are we going to just sit here and be quiet ..??

This arrest today of two women who were ready to set off bombs just because they couldn’t get their way on some RADICAL GAY MARRAIGE agenda .. well, it’s got to stop. What these ladies proved is that groups like “BlackLivesMatter”, and all the other radical names the left comes up with are going to begin with the bomb stuff too .. I sure hope our police agencies are gearing up to stop their destruction (as seen in Ferguson).

The guy with the horns and tail is playing them all, and there are even some leftists that are knowingly helping him.

Boy is he ever! I think you are right about some leftists helping the devil.

Those are the folks that cry out for the mountains & rocks to fall on their heads rather than bow the knee to the Lord.

They insist that they are their own gods, and deny whom they are truly serving.

Which would explain their god like worship of Obama when he was elected.
