Hillary's Authenticity Problem Could Cost Democrats the Election
Breitbart's The Conversation ^ | July 4, 2014 | John Sexton

A new conventional wisdom is forming which says Democrat's gaffes don't matter because they aren't connected to (bad) Republican policies. There's a grain of truth to this argument and yet it misses the big picture. Hillary's policy positions won't be able to save her from her own serious flaws as a candidate.

Progressive writer Brian Beutler explained why Romney's gaffe's mattered (and Hillary's didn't) this way:

"Romney's weaknesses ran much deeper than tone-deaf asides about close friendships with NASCAR team owners, or a car elevator. His unfamiliarity with material deprivation was badly compounded by his devotion to an agenda (and a moral belief system) that would have people like him contributing less to the general welfare, and everyone else contributing more. That mapped neatly on to a basically correct, broader perception that the wealthy and powerful use their considerable influence above all else to help each other. Being a tribune for that class was Romney's real liability..."

What Beutler is saying here is that gaffes only matters if they confirm something negative which people already believe about a candidate. That's why the car elevator attack worked and why the 47 percent video hit its mark. It confirmed what many already suspected about Romney. The Washington Post's Plum Line blog picked up this idea and made it even simpler. Paul Waldman wrote:

"Even if most voters don’t have a detailed knowledge of her positions on issues like the minimum wage, safety net programs, or Wall Street regulations, they know that she’s a Democrat and therefore they assume that her positions are oriented toward the interests of ordinary people, just as if she were a Republican they’d assume that her positions were oriented toward the interests of the wealthy....

Translation: Leftists and Democrats don’t care how much of a scumbag their candidate is. Free stuff will follow, nevertheless.

Mrs. Clinton is the Dems Red Herring. They have no notion of nominating her. She is not near radical enough. It will be Elizabeth warren. Wasting time and energy on the Clinton;s

And the spineless, gonad-less Republican GOPe will not have the nerve to bring it up. The Dems give them so many openings and they never capitalize on them. Makes a thinking person suspicious, you know what I mean?

When it comes to the dominant media any and all negative attributes
of Democrat politicians disappear as soon as they find a Republican
frontrunner or nominee on whom to focus their wrath. Critical analysis
of phonies like Hillary may help convince liberals to find another
candidate but in the end the phony they sellect will be the one who
will “save the world”. It is the MSM that will have to be defeated
as usual.

Correct. It does not matter how much the rats lie, cheat and steal, it is fine with the LIV. These "qualities" are feathers in their caps. If we don't win the 2014 and 2016 elections, with something more than rats and RINO's, (notice my tag line) we really ARE screwed. Whoever the rats nominate, will be a communist radical, and stands a better than even chance of being the next asshat in the white hut. If that happens, who knows what will happen, but I don't think it will be good.

Yeah, I can see where Killary being a multiple murderer could disenfranchise a few folks.

It's become increasingly apparent that American elections for President are nothing more than shams. Republicans always nominate the RINO of the group, who loses the election to the Dementocrat due to deliberate voter fraud. The Democrats could nominate Kim Kardashian and the Republicans could nominate Chuck Norris, and the Democrats would still win due to unquestioned voter fraud. This doesn't even consider the people who don't pay federal taxes, yet think they have a right to dictate what the federal government spends its money on.

Hillary is Bill Clinton without the charisma. Plus, she is older, and not as attractive as Bill was in his prime. She also has the propensity to go into the screechfest mode, as in “what difference does it make at this point in time”. She can be very shrill.

She has a record of enabling Bill to sexually prey on women, in addition to laughing about how she, with her superior lawyering skills, sprung a child rapist. A woman utterly devoid of morals.

On the other hand, watching/listening to her is to my ears like fingernails scraping the chalk board. Would be another tortuous 4/8 years.

“Would be another tortuous 4/8 years”

In more ways than one!!

I never found Bill particularly nice looking...nor is Hillary. I will say that Obama has made me less antagonistic toward the Clintons. And that is quite a feat! Way to go, Great And Powerful O.

I don't think the Dems will nominate Hillary. I guess it could be Elizabeth Warren...or the Castro guy from San Antonio. Someone who can appeal to the LIV and spout a lot of “this is what I can give you...for free” drivel.

Well, if you mean by “authenticity” she's a complete, utter, and incompetent fraud, then you have nailed it. Hillary(!) is a vile, evil, Alinsky-schooled ideologue. She's addicted to power and she's salivating at the thought of ruling over her fellow Americans with an iron fist. That is why she is as dangerous as Barry Soetoro Obamination.
