AUSTIN, Texas -- The intensified drive to draw Hispanic voters to the Republican Party isn't a voluntary mission of political correctness, but a matter of sheer necessity at the ballot box.

Worried that legions of campaign workers across the country can't speak the fastest-growing language of political importance, the Republican National Committee is sending key workers to intense Spanish language classes. For up to two weeks, GOP officials from selected states will immerse themselves in vocabulary and conversation at the Berlitz Language School in Washington.

There is no indication that the intended audience is receptive to the message; I also have objections to a bifurcated society.

Here in Texas we have 2 latino Democrats running for governor. Morales and Sanchez. Supposedly one of their debates will be in Spanish only. Sign of the times.

They might as well change the name of Texas, to Texico and be done with it.

Bush's food stamp plan called ethnic pandering
WASHINGTON Ñ A Bush administration proposal to restore food stamps to legal immigrants is being attacked by conservatives who accused the president of trying to buy votes from traditional Democratic groups in an election year.
[...]

The administration plans to restore food stamps to legal immigrants who've served in the U.S. military, or those who have been in the country for at least five years.

Your idea of compromise is my idea of surrender.

Exactly! The march towards 3rd worldism continues!

"Hispanic communities should be able to hear in their native tongue about the Republican policies designed to help the special interests at the expense of working families." Bush pitches in

If the "Hispanic communities" want to hear about the Republican policies, they should learn to speak and understand our native tongue, English!

He is helping Mexicans invade this country.

I'll bet he's letting them there Micks and Eye-talians in, too.

Can anybody NAME any conservatives left in the Republican party?

Looks like none are "conservative enough" for you, and I think that is probably a good thing. Buchanan's Reform party is looking for 'real-conservatives'. If they get three more, they will have enough for a bowling team.

No, I said Americans citizens who speak the language of choice. ¿Por qué no puede esta misma gente hablar su lenguaje cuando ella desea? ¿Posiblemente cuándo junto en una barra...?

Let me reiterate, I have no problem with American citizens who speak the language of their choice. The problem arises when, as you have pointed out here, you speak to me in Spanish and EXPECT me to understand you. If you are trying to point out that I don't speak Spanish then fine, no hablo Espanol. If you have another point, I don't understand...must be the language barrier...LOL!

"We can't survive as a party without getting more of the Hispanic vote," said Matthew Dowd, a pollster and senior adviser to the RNC. "The writing is on the wall."

Isn't this the message, at root, of Pat Buchanan's latest book?

I guess ol' Pat has more true believers than one might think.

Yo les voy a ayudar por solo $50 US por hora. Es un precio muy razonable ya que normalmente cobro mas. Ojala me manden un cheque adelantado de $500 por lecciones futuras! Better yet, just send me my tax rebate, you congressidiots!

Wow. What I've noticed on numerous occassions, is that those "Conservatives" who support bilingualism and a destruction of American culture are in fact globalists, multinationalists, big business men, benefit as a result of hiring Illegal Aliens, are Illegal Aliens, themselves, or they are of an ethnic group that is swamping America, many of which who have no plans to assimilate.

That's the way I see it.

I guess ol' Pat has more true believers than one might think.

As the dictatorship of Mexico continues to send millions of uneducated, ignorant, non english speaking into our country as the Republican party attempts to "win them over" from the democrates.

Pat Buchanan stated in his recent book, the Death of the West:

The differences between the two beltway parties are inconsequential.....

I wonder how most people in this country would feel if politicians began making some of their speeches in German. Surely there are some communities in America that are heavily populated with German immigrants, right?

I have yet to see the immigration enthusiasts defend their stance after being confronted with the political reality.
