AUSTIN, Texas -- The intensified drive to draw Hispanic voters to the Republican Party isn't a voluntary mission of political correctness, but a matter of sheer necessity at the ballot box.
Worried that legions of campaign workers across the country can't speak the fastest-growing language of political importance, the Republican National Committee is sending key workers to intense Spanish language classes. For up to two weeks, GOP officials from selected states will immerse themselves in vocabulary and conversation at the Berlitz Language School in Washington.

Yeah - it would be a lot better to let them all just vote Democrat and watch the Republican party wither and die. The country is rapidly becoming more Hispanic, like it or not. Organizations that don't change stagnate and die.

Are they learning Spanish in order toe educate them to conservative ways or to instruct them how to fill out welfare applications?

EXPOSE, the GOP is a political party NOT a political movement. If you don't like the GOP then go to Pat Buchanan's Reform party, which got .0000001 of the vote in '00.

Can anybody NAME any conservatives left in the Republican party?First, define your terms. If by 'conservative' you mean small minded people who think you can't be right with the world unless your forebears came over on the Mayflower, then I could care less if they are still Republicans.
If by 'conservative' you mean people who want a smaller government and more freedom, I can think of several million conservatives who are still Republicans.
To: motexva
I think that's exactly what some people want.

the problem is that EXPOSE wants Hispanics out of this country. He wants to put us in covered wagons and ship us out. Those that hide will have to put a patch on our shoulder shaped like a taco, and the TACO Bells (the ovens of course) will be taken over to solve the "HISPANIC PROBLEM". LET THE FORTH REICH BEGIN!!
LOL

In the recent Houston mayoral race, the conservative Republican candidate was hispanic, and he won the hispanic vote convincingly. Only overwhelming black voter for the incumbent mayor, along with a massive program to escort black voters to the polls, caused his defeat by a very few overall votes.
Conservative does not mean anti-hispanic as your editorialized headline suggests.
