Francis held his May 10 general audience together with the schismatic Coptic Pope Tawadros II and asked to “pray that God may bless Pope Tawadros' visit to Rome and protect the entire Coptic Orthodox Church.” The principles of the Coptic liturgy are similar to those of the Roman Rite, which Francis hates. At the end of the audience, both, Francis and Tawadros, gave successive blessings. On Sunday, Tawadros II will celebrate in St John Lateran. It is striking that Francis can coexist with all religions except traditional Catholicism.
“It is striking that Francis can coexist with all religions except traditional Catholicism.”
Bergoglio would undoubtedly defend the Copts’ right to preserve their rites and traditions while he doesn’t extend the same courtesy to Catholics. But, frankly, I doubt that he even understands or cares about the contradiction. He’s a Peronist. It’s not about logic or consistency. It’s about power. Peron explained it once as, “To my friends, everything. To my ends, not even justice.”
*”to my enemies” (not ends)

Bergoglio will allow the schismatic Coptic Orthodox to celebrate their Mass in his cathedral, while refusing to allow his own Catholic priests to offer the Traditional Latin Mass in any Catholic cathedrals or churches worldwide.
After the Anglican debacle, St John Lateran needs to be reconsecrated.
Tired of endless schisms? Seen enough galloping Papalism and worship “innovations”? Want to get back to the “catholic” church you knew as a kid? Come join us at the Eastern Orthodoxy Church at the other end town, where Francis is a but a distant memory. Come’on down!!!
Why join your schism?
Unlike you I will not apostatize from the One, True Church.
“ Come join us at the Eastern Orthodoxy Church at the other end town, where Francis is a but a distant memory. Come’on down!!!”

Haven’t you heard?
Matthew 16:
16 Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answering, said to him: Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona: because flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven. 18 And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Note:
[18] “The gates of hell”: That is, the powers of darkness, and whatever Satan can do, either by himself, or his agents. For as the church is here likened to a house, or fortress, built on a rock; so the adverse powers are likened to a contrary house or fortress, the gates of which, that is, the whole strength, and all the efforts it can make, will never be able to prevail over the city or church of Christ. By this promise we are fully assured, that neither idolatry, heresy, nor any pernicious error whatsoever shall at any time prevail over the church of Christ.

The Orthodox Church has its corruptions and problems too but (to me at least) the bulwark against Hades seems much stronger and less sandy than the Latin Church. Besides, Peter spent the first 15 years or so of his ministry in Antioch before he got called to Rome, doesn’t that make Patriarch John X the Pope?
