The Gender of God: The Church of England has announced that it is evaluating the language of gender with relation to God

The Church of England has announced that it is evaluating the language of gender with relation to God.  While they recognize that God is neither female nor male per se, the dialogue came up in a recent exchange in the General Synod, the governing body of the Church, when a priest sought options to speak of God in a non-gendered way.

While this is an interesting theological discussion within the Church, answers have been given about God’s “gender” in Judaism for millennia. There is no need to start a “gender inclusive” description of the Almighty and become pronoun conscious in order to satisfy the desires of modern gender activists. The understanding of God’s “gender” can be easily understood and explored through an understanding of Hebrew; and in so doing, we can avoid surrendering the infinitude of Divinity to a populist desire for gender inclusion in language.

The main name of God found in the Bible in the original Hebrew is “YHWH” (the four Hebrew letters of Yod, Hey, Vav, and Hey; and often pronounced as Yahweh, Jehovah, etc. and referred to by academics as the Tetragrammaton). Each of these four letters is “soft” and can be pronounced in a multiplicity of ways. Additionally, in the original Hebrew of the Torah, there are no vowels, so in theory, the name could be pronounced as “JoHoWaHa”, “YaHWaH”, “JeHoVaH” or any number of other ways. Because we don’t want to mispronounce the name of God, Jews often refer to this word as “HaShem” (meaning “the Name”) or “Adonai” (meaning “my Master”).

But the name itself is a hidden key to understanding God’s Presence in the physical world. In order to use this four-0lettered name as a key, we need to take a moment and understand Hebrew grammar.

IMO, it is near to impossible to be a “Father” without also being male. Is this so hard to understand?

Matthew 10:32-33--

32 Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father in heaven.

33 But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven.

God “identifies” as masculine. I thought that was all that mattered.

As Thomas Oden said:
In my dream I was extremely pleased, for I realized I was learning what Irenaeus meant when he warned us not to invent new doctrine. This was a great discovery for me. All my education up to this point had taught me that I must be compulsively creative. If I was to be a good theologian I had to go out and do something nobody else ever had done. The dream somehow said to me that this is not my responsibility, that my calling as a theologian could be fulfilled through obedience to apostolic tradition.

The Church of England is an organization that features a large, perverted, agnostic hierarchy and virtually no true believers or worshippers in the pews. If they stopped paying and subsidizing these bizarre bishops, rectors and deacons or worse for them stop giving them any media attention, the whole rotten edifice would collapse.

When and how will they reassess the Son of God?

Thank you!

Christ, Himself, refers to God as His Father.

Pretty simple, actually.

The Sovereign is Head of the Church of England. Never would have happened under Queen Elizabeth. England now has its own Woke King Charlie.

Their god is a metaphor for British ruling class interests. What gender does that god have?

So everybody is allowed to have preferred pronouns except God Almighty?

“When and how will they reassess the Son of God?”

They already have and they are calling it a pronoun problem.

Since it seems the Church of England has some time on its hands, A thought exercise for them.

Does it see itself as the Spiritual Male Body of Christ or
Does it see itself as the Spiritual Female Bride of Christ?
Or both?
Can it see itself as both?

Does the Church of England really know if it’s walking out spiritually, governmentally, the Male Body of Christ and/or the Female Bride of Christ?

Not speaking natural,sexual roles.
Speaking to spiritual roles and governmental role in the Kingdom. Maybe prophetic roles.

One of those roles goes to sleep at the cross and His side is pierced, and a Bride forms. Like with Christ at the cross, and even Adam and Eve.

One of those roles is brought out of the sleeping Man, and becomes His Helpmate.

That Helpmate won’t be lawless or a harlot. She won’t be riding a beast. She won’t be beguiled by the serpent..

Will she?
Does she?

The Church of England has announced that it is evaluating the language of gender with relation to God.

2 Thessalonians 2

1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you,

2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.

3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things?

6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.

7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.

8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.

9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,

10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,

12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The “Church of England” seems to believe that Jesus was lying or was perhaps insane? Either one, of course, would mean He had no relationship whatsoever to God. They should just go ahead and incorporate themselves as a social club with no connection to Christianity.
