The FBI’s Richmond field office released an internal memo last month warning against “radical traditionalist Catholic ideology,” and claiming it “almost certainly presents new mitigation opportunities,” according to a document shared by an FBI whistleblower on Wednesday.
Kyle Seraphin, who was a special agent at the bureau for six years before he was indefinitely suspended without pay in June 2022, published the document, “Interest of Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists in Radical Traditionalist Catholic Ideology Almost Certainly Presents New Mitigation Opportunities,” on UncoverDC.com.
“In making this assessment, FBI Richmond relied on the key assumption that [racially or ethnically motivated extremists] will continue to find [radical-traditionalist Catholic or RTC] ideology attractive and will continue to attempt to connect with RTC adherents, both virtually via social media and in-person at places of worship,” the document from January 23 states.
It adds that “RTCs are typically categorized by the rejection of the Second Vatican Council (Vatican II) as a valid church council; disdain for most of the popes elected since Vatican II, particularly Pope Francis and Pope John Paul II; and frequent adherence to anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant, anti-LGBTQ, and white supremacist ideology.

Every cult knows that people who are already members of another cult are prime candidates for recruitment, since you already know they are gullible and like to be controlled.
That’s why the German nazis recruited lots of communists. They had already committed to roving around the streets beating people up in the name of one kooky ideology, so they wouldn’t need to be convinced nearly as much as an ordinary person.
Sounds like Bergoglio has the FBI on the Vatican’s payroll.

AS for Popes: Paul VI was the Second Vatican Council Pope, John Paul I hardly counts, JPII and Beneditct XVI were rather beloved by the Traditionalists - that leaves Francis.

I’m thinking “missions” like infiltrating a group and, from within, inciting easily-manipulated members to commit a crime for which a broad swath of members can be framed.

The good news is, it’ll be mighty difficult to pull off the infiltration. The only FIB agents that will serve in the role are followers of satan... the sound of the Name of Jesus or sighting a crucifix will cause them to writhe and puke green stuff and they’ll blow their cover. :-)
I think I understand the game. You put ‘radical’ in front of any group name in the attempt to scare people into giving up their constitutional rights in exchange for safety. Next up: Radical Quakers. I bet the FBI is seeking informants to infiltrate Friends Meeting Houses to uncover terrorist cells.
Tell you what... I worship with the tribes that most folks would call “protestant”, but against this evil I am 100% on the side of the Catholic Church — come hell or high water.
I am not sure about the criticism of Pope John Paul II.

Not true. In MN young Catholics and the new Priests LOVE the traditional Mass.
It’s the old hippies, like pope Frank, who are against novus order. I’d say the young Catholics range between 20 and 45.
IMHO the men who hear and answer to God’s call into the priesthood are the pure of heart, Latin loving, Church loving courageous men. I can’t wait for the old hippies to die off. This is why I think frank is agreeing to these rules, HE HATES TRADITIONAL MASS

This Catholic agrees with you. All people of Christain-Judeo faith must stand together. And hell or high water just may come.
All I can say is that my mom was a big Vatican II, women’s rights liberal Catholic and she did not like JPII.
