Was the previous GOP Gov so bad the voters had no choice but to elect a rat?

How did that ban get put in place and what law enforcement body enforced that?

What this rule by decree tells us is that there are governors, judges (someone signed off on it) and law enforcement that should not be in office. All of these people at least have a high school education and all of them knew that what they are doing is violating the most basic constitutional rights.

Anyone involved in the decision making, even if they were just a “tag along” as often is the case, should be removed from their office. They did not serve the public, they went in violation of the most basic law of the country (US Constitution). They should be exposed and removed based on their own actions and words (those that went along with these things: governors, mayors, heads of police, sheriffs departments, judges).

Well it all got so backwards in Ky. Beshears father and speaker of the house Greggy Stumbo took 8 years and spent all the retirement money and created a huge whole. Stumbo was speaker for years and years. Wellfunded. and great campaignor. He lost. Thenhe ran last time for AG and got beat by a new commer.
Bevin comes in with a white hat. Puts a billion in the retirement funds. But some how takes the blame. The teachers mobilized and took out Bevin.
Its like arresting the fire fighters and rewarding the arsonests.
But only the governors race. The democrats got skunked down ballot.

Finally starting to see pushback against this insanity, in lots of places. It is encouraging, though sad that it has taken so long, and that so much damage has already been done.

Bevin tried to make fiscally responsible changes in the Kentucky state employee & teachers benefit\retirement system. I’ve read that Kentucky’s state pension is even more underwater then Illinois’s is, something lik less then 20% funded. The teacher’s union, etc crucified him, they did it “for the children”.

Has anybody lately stopped and considered how important it was that Jefferson and Madison insisted on a Bill of Rights in the Constitution? Where would we be now, if the Constitution were considered only a document for how to run a government.

That’s a key question in all of this.

Are voters learning the error of their ways and that elections have consequences?

Or will they go to the ballot box in November and just keep on voting democrat because that’s what grandpa used to do?

Yes, but there is another document, the actual founding one that clearly states that all men are created equal, endowed with certain inalienable rights, including the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Pretty much covers everything except actions which deny others their right to the same.

Best government governs the least.

Good points, and I agree with you on all of it. Just remember, everything has to start someplace, and nothing worthwhile is ever easy. Keep the faith, and in the end it will all have been worth it.

The teachers mobilized and took out Bevin.

Teachers really love him now...they've been drawing the same paycheck for sitting at home and doing half-a$$ed distance learning via smartphones.

I believe that in the end, when all is said and done. Those who have been voting Democrat, will continue Democrat. Three entities verify this. There are: The Holy Bible. 2. Rudyard Kipling. 3. Winston Churchill.

1. The Holy Bible: There are a number to people being creatures of habit in the Word Of God. I would like to cite Book, Chapter and verse, but am unable. In the New Testament, Peter writes." The sow has returned to her mire and the dog to his vomit". The Book of Revelations states."Him that is unrighteous, let him be unrighteous still". There is more but I can't recall it with enough accuracy to quote and cite. It occurs in the end of the Book.

Rudyard Kipling: In his poem Gods of the Market Place he gives a number of examples of human behavior and ends with: In the end only four things remain true. He mentions four but only cites three. Two of them comes from the Bible: 1.) The sow returns to her mire. 2.) The dog returns to his vomit. 3.) The burned bandaged hand of the fool reaches[wobbles] again into the fire.

Winston Churchill:" We occasionally stumble over the truth but most of us pick ourselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened.

“Or are you of the opinion that only Democrats are idiots?”

On a strictly random case, I’d say you have a 20% chance of picking an idiot if it’s a republican vs a 90% chance if it’s a Democrat.

Would you agree with those odds?

1. I have.

2. We would be a sinking ship, second world country (communist) or a third world sewer.

Gregory F. Van Tatenhove is a Dubya judge [Eastern District of Kentucky] who overturned the Beshear ban, after two other federal judges upheld the ban.

84-year-old William O. Bertelsman, a senior (moment) judge [Eastern District of Kentucky, appointed by Peanut Boy], earlier upheld the Beshear mass gatherings ban, but threw out his travel ban (while giving Beshear instructions on how to really implement it).

Just before that, David Hale [Western District of Kentucky - ClownBammy judge] denied a request to halt the ban from applying to religious services. Hale said the ban was constitutional since it applied to all mass gatherings.

The case was then bounced up to a three-judge panel of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, which upheld the Obama judge's pro-ban ruling.

The panel was made up of 6th Circuit judges David McKeague, a George W. Bush appointee, John Nalbandian, a Donald Trump appointee, and Jeffrey Sutton, a George W. Bush appointee.

It's unclear whether the per curiam decision was unanimous.
