Was the previous GOP Gov so bad the voters had no choice but to elect a rat?
Well it all got so backwards in Ky. Beshears father and speaker of the house Greggy Stumbo took 8 years and spent all the retirement money and created a huge whole. Stumbo was speaker for years and years. Wellfunded. and great campaignor. He lost. Thenhe ran last time for AG and got beat by a new commer.
Bevin comes in with a white hat. Puts a billion in the retirement funds. But some how takes the blame. The teachers mobilized and took out Bevin.
Its like arresting the fire fighters and rewarding the arsonests.
But only the governors race. The democrats got skunked down ballot.
Bevin tried to make fiscally responsible changes in the Kentucky state employee & teachers benefit\retirement system. I’ve read that Kentucky’s state pension is even more underwater then Illinois’s is, something lik less then 20% funded. The teacher’s union, etc crucified him, they did it “for the children”.
Probably election fraud as that’s the ONLY way dems win.
