It may have been 17 years late but by coming out now, at least they put an end to this cult leader.........
boys and young men were more mature and responsible 40-50 yrs ago......and marriage was MARRIAGE for life, not some temporary arrangement that one would jump in and out of..

I remember that same situation from my senior year of high school. The girl involved seemed a good deal more mature than most high school seniors.
I wasn’t even going to mention this but I knew a guy in Western North Carolina whose wife was 12 when they got married.
It did shock me but they had been married for over 20 years and both were unusually nice people.
Priscilla Beaulieu was 14 when she began dating Elvis, who was 24. She was in her 20s when they married.
Myra Brown was 13 when she began dating her cousin Jerry Lee Lewis. He was 22. They were married for 13 years.
Jerry Seinfeld was 39 when he began dating 17-year-old Shoshanna Lonstein. Apparently she ended up dumping him after 4 yrs.
Our neighbors down in Mexico would wonder “what’s the big deal?”
I read that Elvis promised her parents that they would not consummate their relationship until they were married.
Apparently they weren’t enthusiastic about the romance and kept a tight leash on them. Her dad was an Air Force officer so I suspect Elvis was on his best behavior.
