Should the Pope EXCOMMUNICATE Mexican Cartel Members?
Self | November 19, 2019 | PJ-Comix

Imagine if you could Quantum Leap into the Pope. What would you do?

Well, since you don't know how long you could be a Pope you better start issuing decrees that you think could do some good. But what decrees? IMHO, the best decree the Pope could issue that would do the most good is issue a blanket EXCOMMUNICATION of all Mexican cartel members.

Yeah, some of them would probably laugh it off but I am sure many of them (laughably) consider themselves to be good Catholics so such an excommunication would have the effect of causing some of them to quit the cartels as well as keep others from joining in the first place.

Oh, and if any group deserves excommunication, it has to be the members of the Mexican cartel. They are the primary reason for the grief of the regular citizens of Mexico.

Am I off base on this suggestion or do you think the Pope should excommunicate Mexican cartel members? At least with the American Mafia, it was just each other (mostly) that they physically harmed but with the Mexican cartel it is many outside the cartel who have to endure much violence.

Nobody is quitting the cartels because of excommunication. For one thing they aren’t exactly lined up for “regular” jobs, and they got bills to pay like everybody else. For another the local churches take just as much cash from the cartels as the cops, so any excommunication would be ignored on the local level.

He should repent and become an actual believer in Christ and an orthodox leader of the Church.

After that, maybe we can talk about excommunicating cartels … and democRATS … and some others.

The cartel members have an unrecognizable syncretic religious practice that revolves around a death cult.

Excommunication would mean nothing to them.

No man can excommunicate another man from the church.

Jesus simply wouldn’t approve of that.

The ‘catholic heresy threads” cause a endless sense of astonishment.

For the poster of this op...... Jesus Christ is the only judge of the church.

God, is the final judge.

For you in delusional to Believe in any way, that “a man” of any position, has any power over the work… the FINISHED work that Jesus Christ brought to us by his death on the cross, is the exact reason so many scoff at every Catholic thread posted on this forum!!

When… And I reemphasize WHEN… Will you realize that it is JESUS and HIM ALONE???

I pray for Catholics… I don’t hate you… I risk been ignored and condemned because of the statements made concerning Catholicism… but I risk it because I want you to come to know Jesus Christ… In the fullness of his glory. And when you do, the trappings of the Catholic Church Will fall away.

Imagine if you could Quantum Leap into the Pope. What would you do?

I'd repent and stop making videos of myself.

I'd buy a new truck.

Mostly I'd stop the home-made selfie videos.

Hell, if I were Pope I'd declare that nonsense a sin
and send all the video wankers straight to hell.

Of course he should
but most certainly will not .

The cartel’s, like the mafia, provides a never ending stream of broken people (lives) that need the Church for solace. And they provide a lot of cash regardless. The cash is the base on which the Church stands .

Should the Pope excommunicate cartel members? He should, but he won’t. Not when the cartels launder billions of dollars through the Vatican bank.

Pope Pius XII might have done so. In 1950, he excommunicated all of those involved in the arrest, torture, show trial and imprisonment of Cardinal József Mindszenty, head of the Catholic Church in Hungary.

Yes, that's what we want. That's why we're Catholic. We're free from the shackles of man-made erroneous theology.

That was my immediate reaction. This pope should excommunicate himself. The sooner the better. We could get a worse pope but he does seem to be the bottom of the barrel. No where to go but up.
