Long time lurker here, but a family member has been a long time FReeper. One reason I recently decided to sign up too, was so I could ask the vast, well-informed, FReeper family for some important information about Judaism, the Hebrew language, and Noahidism. (I also wanted to possibly participate in future threads on all these subjects, maybe asking additional questions of those more knowledgeable here about those subjects, who might be able to answer them for me.) I know it is frowned on here to post "vanities", and I don't intend to ever do it again (I swear!), but I felt this was very important, not just for me, but probably for some other people here too, so, here goes.
Not long ago, I began to develop an interest in learning more about Judaism, Noahidism, and the Hebrew Language. One quickly discovers that learning about those subjects can be quite daunting and challenging, so I would like to hear helpful suggestions along those lines from knowledgeable FReepers, for beginner/overview/introductory books, online links, and other possible resources, pertaining to subjects such as learning the Hebrew Language, the various types of Judaism (especially Orthodox Judaism), conversion, Jewish Holidays and customs, Jewish prayers, Kosher foods, Noahidism, good Jewish music, etc. (Note - Regarding the Hebrew language, so far I've found that many of the online Hebrew language resources I've uncovered, are developed and posted by Christians, for their own purposes, and I know that "learning Hebrew is learning Hebrew", but I'm also hoping to find some good Jewish resources for that language training.)
I'm also looking for recommended links to various good online discussion blogs for all of those topics, and any other helpful materials relating to them. I also wanted to mention that I thought it would be great if some more knowledgeable people here on FR would post occasional FR "Judaism/Noahidism Caucus" threads in the Religion Forum, for discussions focused on various related and pertinent subjects. It's plain that there is a sizable number of FReepers here who would potentially fit into that "Judaism/Noahidism Caucus", and I believe it would be very helpful, especially for "newbies" in all those subjects, if there were occasional threads dedicated specifically to those topics, without all the usual distracting interruptions by others outside the Judaism/Noahide world, with completely different goals and purposes.

Thanks!

Thank You for the links.
Shavua Tov!
The book: Aleph Isn’t Tough: An Introduction to Hebrew for Adults 0th Edition
by Linda Motzkin (Author), Hara E. Person (Editor).
You have to learn the alphabet first. This is the one to start with. This is effective.
There is also a follow-up book, book 2.
This came highly recommended by a preacher I listen to, so I bought it for my Brother who wanted to learn Hebrew.
Reviews said it was very accessible to regular folks.
For a little more advanced take on things, try
Rabbi Yosef Mizrachi, a traditional Sefardic rabbi rather than the Euro-centered views of most American rabbis:

and Rabbi Mendel Kessin, a traditional yeshiva-type rabbi:
Neither guy is timid about commenting on the broader culture and politics.
Well, I really haven’t found any yet pertaining to Hebrew, Judaism, or Noahidism, but there must be some good ones out there somewhere, that someone reading this might know about.
Thanks. (I had to look up “Shavua Tov!”, and the same to you!)
Thank you very much. I’ll check that one out.
Thanks, avenir!
Thanks, jjotto! I will check them both out.
Go talk to your local rabbi
As it says in Leviticus 24:22 "You are to have the same law for the foreigner and the native-born. I am the LORD your God."
So you can keep more than just the minimum stuff outlined in the Noahide if you want. The notion of "Noahide" is based on certain rabbinical teachings, not the Torah.
Our fam keeps kosher, shabbat and all the feasts. It's great, because you know these are holidays that God Himself created.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I recommend beginning with the Talmud and researching its views on the Goyim or on Christians before getting too wrapped up in Jewish blogs or religious primers aimed at goyim. I have known them to say completely opposite things on websites aimed at Gentiles and websites aimed at themselves.
Wow, that’s a goldmine! Thanks!
That's a very good idea, and I guess that would also be a wise way to go for a while, before a person fully commits to pursuing a complete conversion.
