KENOSHA, Wis. Jill Gilmore is one of those voters who have confounded both Democrats and Never Trump Republicans the most. She is a college-educated, gun-owning female conservative Republican who voted for Donald Trump. But heres the real kicker: She is also a devout Evangelical Christian.
In the list of what is most important to myself and my family, faith is always first, said the striking 34-year-old mother of seven, small business owner, and community volunteer who says she and her husband teach their children daily that behavior and respect towards others is not an option, but a requirement.
Contrast the Gilmore Golden Rule with her vote for Donald Trump who is accused of an affair with a porn star, and who does not have a reputation for politeness and respect for others and her decision stuns the sensibilities of both his resisters and experts.
From their perch they see a moral conflict, but she sees her support for Trump as a pragmatic, not ideological, decision. This was a calculation made by millions of religious conservatives, a cadre my co-author Brad Todd and I call the King Cyrus Conservatives in The Great Revolt.
Gilmore sees that calculation as paying off, especially now....

Do you always criticize people you know little about? Or just this President?
Grow up.
If only we had elected Hillary, such a pillar of goodness and integrity!
I didn’t vote for a spiritual leader - I voted for the person I thought would be bold enough to carry through on his promises. I have not been disappointed.
And yet for this reporter, along with the likes of Mitt Romney, John McCain, Paul Ryan and the RHINO establishment, its that demonic lawless Obama creature who they all hold in great esteem and see as something to be admired,
They should concern themselves less with who we as believers support and learn just who it is they serve, its a mystery for them,
That’s all He has to work with after all.
I do not judge whether he is a Christian or not. As someone who has served in ministry, I do judge - as in evaluate - him as an immature person spiritually, and thus not fit to be in a leadership position.
I would not have him for a pastor or an elder - but that was not why the election was held.
I would have him for a president - so that worked out well.
Or just that, but he was both known as a flawed man going in, and his opponent has a long history of active actual animosity to her religious beliefs.
I’d say he’s the most morally upstanding President we’ve had since Reagan.
It’s more important to have a President that ALLOWS us to be Christians than to be a Christian himself.
:) ..Great word, "smarmy"....
Jerk definition
noun: a contemptibly obnoxious person
For those who are blasting me, what I mean by my “jerk” comment is what we see him do almost daily with his Twitter comments. Frequently his comments sound like a surly 13-year old boy.
Also, we cannot forget “Grab em by the pu—y!”
He IS, as the definition describes, a contemptibly obnoxious person. You cannot escape that reality.
He IS a bull in a china shop.
Others here GET what I’m saying.
Sometimes it TAKES a jerk.
I LOVE that he pisses off the media daily.
I LOVE watching the daily meltdowns by celebrities.
Did you see the latest from DeNiro?
I like what Trump is doing.
“pro-American, pro-Israel, pro-military, pro-veterans, pro-life, pro-religious liberty”
I’m simply acknowledging he is a jerk.
I bet he is an absolute D!ck to work for.
