KENOSHA, Wis. — Jill Gilmore is one of those voters who have confounded both Democrats and Never Trump Republicans the most. She is a college-educated, gun-owning female conservative Republican who voted for Donald Trump. But here’s the real kicker: She is also a devout Evangelical Christian.
“In the list of what is most important to myself and my family, faith is always first,” said the striking 34-year-old mother of seven, small business owner, and community volunteer who says she and her husband teach their children daily that behavior and respect towards others is not an option, but a requirement.
Contrast the Gilmore Golden Rule with her vote for Donald Trump — who is accused of an affair with a porn star, and who does not have a reputation for politeness and respect for others — and her decision stuns the sensibilities of both his resisters and experts.
From their perch they see a moral conflict, but she sees her support for Trump as a pragmatic, not ideological, decision. This was a calculation made by millions of religious conservatives, a cadre my co-author Brad Todd and I call the “King Cyrus Conservatives” in The Great Revolt.
Gilmore sees that calculation as paying off, especially now....

I see Jill doesn’t get out very much.

I don’t always want a President like Trump, but the times call for one like Trump.
POTUS Trump doesn’t drink, smoke or do drugs. He also thinks the 20 week Fetal Pain Abortion Ban should have been signed into Law and that Planned Murderhood shouldn’t get one dime in Taxpayer Funding.
Spare me the morally corrupt crap because he MAY HAVE had a fling. Still an unproven ALLEGATION.

Living a morally pure and upright life is no guarantee against people bad mouthing you.

These comments really do not make much sense to me. If Trump is not morally upstanding that means all others before him were, and this is the first time we have had such a scoundrel in office.

Exactly! The enemedia’s contempt for Evangelical Christians and Conservative Jews is based on pure prejudice. They know nothing of what they speak.

Their monomaniacal mission is to make people of faith look foolish, but “stories” like this one just ring hallow and reveal the messengers’ ignorance and evil intentions.

The left has no standing to criticize Trump’s faults when they excuse the lying, thievery, dishonesty, traitorous behavior, slander, and murder of the politicians they like.
Yeah, Trump’s not perfect. Neither am I. And neither are they.
Let’s just say Clinton, Obama and Trump in their own ways were scumbags before being elected. All three wives follow suit and stand by their man. Two of the three (Clinton and Obama) never changed and became worse as Presidents AND as men while their wives are petty, bitter, narcissistic and hypocritical. President Trump shows character and conviction. His wife shows grace. I think some of the vitriol of the left is absolute jealousy and seeing their dream to destroy America put on hold. Only a Liberal sees a scumbag as perfect as long as he/she is towing the liberal line. I don’t always find President Trump necessarily completely conservative and if he won as a Democrat, none of this would be an issue. He is the right leader for now and thank God for him.
I’ve a hunch Ms. Gilmore knows PDJT gave his heart to Christ while attending Billy Graham’s 95th birtday dinner in NC. Therefore, PDJT is a NEW person, but really a babe-in-Christ, who occasionally slips up. I’ve been saved 56 years, and I STILL slip up. We need a Savior; and we HAVE one. Praise Jesus!

No, I don’t think I will.
Donald J. Trump did many, many things prior to even thinking about running for office for people that NOBODY else would help. He did it in a heartbeat, never asking or expecting anything in return, and no media attention.
Check the record. Much came to light only because of the campaign.
