The Italian Ambassador has threatened charges of murder if the hospital proceeds with removing Alfie’s life-support system.
Tom Evans related in a Facebook live stream post that there will be a conference call between the family’s legal team, Justice Hayden, the Italian ambassador, and hospital administration to decide if Alfie can leave on a plane for Italy now that he has been made an Italian citizen.

It will be a horrible statement if the new prince is born (on St. George’s Day) and on the same day a British child is permitted to die without treatment.
Lord, let the child awake and in clear voice inquire aloud,
"Mommy, why do all these people want me to die?"
And they’re not just taking him off the ventilator.
They’re lethally injecting him with Versed and Fentanyl when they do.
Would like to pray ‘Father forgive them for they know not what they do’. This case however they DO know what they do and if little Alfie dies by their arrogant scheme I pray for severe retribution and riots in the street against govt and judicial.

Sources confirm that Alfie Evans was removed from ventilation at 9:00 London time. Parents Tom and Kate are now in their son’s room at Alder Hey hospital, spending what may be their last moments together.
During a conference call earlier this evening a UK judge would not change a previous court decision that the hospital could remove the baby’s life support under the pretext that it was in Alfie’s “best interest.” The call happened between the family’s legal team, Justice Hayden, the Italian ambassador, and hospital administration.
The only relatives allowed to be in the room when the ventilation was removed were Alfie’s parents and two other family members, LifeSiteNews learned.
It remains unknown how long Alfie will survive removed from his life-support.

They’re doing this since the UK can’t afford second opinions. It all comes down to money. If the world had an honest press, they’d point to this case as the reason why many do not support socialized health care. Death panels are a ridiculous way of managing health care.
Many on the left will claim that the kid is a vegetable and has no chance of recovery. That still doesn’t give the UK government the right to execute this child. There are doctors in Italy that feel differently. The Italian doctors wouldn’t waste the parent’s time nor toy with their emotions if they felt that this kid might have a chance.
Still, the UK cannot afford to give this child a chance. Others in their socialized health care system are going to want additional opinions in the future. The UK government would rather execute kids and prevent future cases like this one vs. potentially saving the child’s life.
What’s sick is that the liberals look at this as a compassionate solution.
What is the death with the British government has for this baby? All day today the local Miami media has been drooling over Kate Middleton’s baby. Yet this life is celebrated while the other has to be snuffed out.
Britain is pathetic.
The left wants him dead. Normal people want him alive.
The NHS won't discharge him alive.

Alder Hey hospital where Alfie Evans is staying says it will release a statement regarding the latest developments at 7 AM tomorrow morning London time.
Alfie continues to breathe on his own after being removed from his ventilator at 9:17 PM London time. Daniel Evans, an administrator on Alfie's Army Facebook page confirmed that the baby is still fighting for his life.
"Doctors said Alfie wouldn’t survive 3 minuted [sic] off the ventilator, TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATER HE IS STILL HERE FIGHTING. How amazing is this boy," he wrote.
Alfie now is getting some oxygen and appears to be breathing well, LifeSiteNew has learned. His breathing has become regulated. He is coughing and making vocal noises.
Parents release photo of Alife with his tubes removed. They are still asking for prayers.
"HOW BEAUTIFUL IS OUR SOLDIER. Breathing on his own since 9.17pm. Needs oxygen and AH won't allow it. PLEASE PRAY FOR ALFIE," states a post from Flo Hoy, an administrator on "Alfie's Army" Facebook page.
Alfie's family are now performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation in an attempt to give the baby oxygen, an inside source has confirmed to LifeSiteNews. Alfie's father Tom said that his son's fingers were starting to turn blue.
Alfie's father Tom confirmed in a Facebook live video that his son Alfie has been removed from the ventilator and that he has been "sustaining his own life since 9:17.” Tom said that Alife is "needing oxygen, but the hospital won't give him any".

Alfie is now struggling. Hospital staff told Tom Evans that if he tries to remove his son from the hospital, he will be arrested for assault, LifeSiteNews has learned.
Update April 23, 7:20 EST: Alfie Evans was removed from ventilation at 9:17 pm London time. The toddler has continued to breathe on his own. Alder Hey hospital has said it will release a statement with developments at 7 am local time (London). Please pray.

Daniel Evans, an administrator on Alfie's Army Facebook, has posted that Alder Hey hospital continues to refuse to help Alife with oxygen or ventilation.
"There’s been some rumours and speculations regarding AH intervening at 2.17am [London time] and helping Alfie with oxygen or ventilation. This is not true, it has not been confirmed by AH doctors or Tom/Kate. Please do not believe these rumours until a admin or family member do a post on this official page. Thank you," he posted.
Alfie remains alive. It is now over four hours since his ventilator was removed at 9:17 London time. A source close to the family reports that Alfie is keeping good color and is chest to chest with his mom Kate.
