Interesting that pope Francis is presiding over decline..

...
All part of the plan.

Not difficult to predict at all. Parolin if the progressives (new paradigm) win. On the tiny chance that thru a miracle holiness comes to the fore, it has to be Sarah.

No, the Gates of Hell will not prevail against the Church. She has withstood the damage of other poor shepherds in the past. This false pope will not bring her down.

I believe your numbers may be close to accurate.

They will come back to the mother church!

Why go to Church?

I can get the same, saccharin “love is love,” mother gaia, “everyone is going to heaven,” and neo-marxist world view from television, universities, and government.

Most US Bishops are Far Left Wing Mindless Liberals. Just look at Colleges that pretend to be Catholic. Marquette, Holy Cross, Norte Dame all Far Left. Not one US Bishop will stand up and tell these schools to get in line and follow church doctrine.

That’s not what you get at a Catholic Church. In fact, you get much more.

Pope Francis has done to attendance at Sunday services what Colin Kaepernick has done to Sunday NFL attendance.

Does this qualify as a “great falling away”? Hold fast! Your redemption draws near.

Sounds more like a revival.

I am curious, what is your understanding of a traditional denomination? I would think the only more traditional denominations than Rome are the Orthodox denominations, and they, these days, are more national or cultural in make up and unlikely to attract people fromnother cultures or origins.

30% of church members at a typical evangelical Christian Church are former Catholics.

In some highly Catholic areas, like Buffalo, NY, the percentage is FAR higher.

In many Evangelical, gospel preaching churches, it's close to 90%.

Francis has left me scratching my head more than once. Still, he can't be a complete idiot, and he can't want the Catholic Church to disappear from the face of the Earth. What is his end game?

How about establishing the one world religion that is expected to be set up during the end times?

Scripture indicates that the false prophet will set up a one world religion.

Considering the political pieces are falling in place to fulfill Scripture for the end times, it's no surprise that the religious pieces are falling into place as well.

It actually adds certainty to the thought that these are the end times.

i agree. US catholic bishops made $200M supporting illegal immigrants.

the local parish priests usually stick close to catechism teachings, but there are some priests who talk in glowing terms about franky - the “good little soldiers” who dont want to see the damage he’s done.

Pope Francis is a hard left wing political ideologue. Perhaps he loves his church but I have my doubts. His left wing socialist activism is public knowledge in Argentina and by deed as The Pope. If one looks at the atheist George Soros and his policies and those of The Pope there is little difference.

I did not leave my church, it left me.

Sorry to burst your bubble friend, but when a Catholic finds a Bible-teaching, non-squishy evangelical Christian church, they rarely return. That includes me and many, many other friends.

The ones who return to the “mother” Church are usually those who spent a number of years without a church, period. But those who become a Christian, and study the Bible, and immerse themselves in the non-Catholic manner of worship and study have their eyes opened. They never look back.

He’s not the first rotten pope, not by a long shot.

Yet, the Church still prevails despite him.

2,000 years on. “The Gates of Hell” and all that good stuff.

It will survive. It was predicted. The one true church.

Just put the larger history and apostolic context in perspective.
