Our mission is to show how the Bible is a unified story that leads to Jesus.

This is a great website that provides a summary of Bible books and topics in a pictorial format. Just found it but it seems like solid theology. May be helpful to all.

One Sunday our pastor, Dr. Robert Marsh preached a sermon on Jesus in the Old Testament.

It really was surprising how many things agreed with the Jesus of the New Testament. Just one verse after another until it became obvious.

Thanks for the heads up. The Old Testament is replete with the knowledge of Jesus.

Does anyone know if there is a book which helps Jews find Jesus in their sacred writings?

Yes. Leviticus. Chapter 23.

He is the Passover Lamb that died on Passover, 14th day and 6th and final work Day of the Father’s 2nd week,in His 1st month.

He is the Unleavened Bread that laid in the tomb on the weekly and annual Sabbath of the first Day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, 15th Day of His first month.

He is the First fruits of those who have fallen asleep, when He rose from the grave, the third day from Passover. First fruits is the 16th Day on the Father’s calendar, and is the first work day of His 3rd week of His 1st month. The day after the Sabbath.
All found in chapter 23 of Leviticus.

That is the first importance of the gospel that Paul references in the letter to the Corinthians.

In accordance with the Hebrew scriptures, He died for our sins as the Passover Lamb.
Was buried and raised on the 3rd day (from Pasover) as First Fruits, in accordance with the scriptures.

The Word Became Flesh. One chapter in the OT scriptures explains the first importance of the gospel that Paul taught. Jews may not see Him in Passover, Unleavened Bread or First fruits because they are shown Friday/Saturday/Sunday instead, but those days are His appointments that speak to His Word becoming flesh. And those three days-Passover, Unleavened Bread and First fruits, speaks to The Father’s 6th day, 7th Day Sabbath, First day, too.

But jews don’t see ‘Passover’ as the Father’s 6th work day either so they have some blindness to the Messiah.

All those days are His. Christianity would be blessed to see that too.

For His Glory!

I vaguely recall a bible verse that basically said this: If you have tried and tried with a person and there is no response walk away and don't try anymore.

I would like to be able to find this passage, can anyone help me?

Matt 10:14

Matthew 10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

Wow, it really IS one of those days.

I had just been reading up on Tikkun Rachel, so this page was open, along with the chapter:

The Tikkun Rachel service is concluded with the reading of Isaiah 52:2, "Shake thyself from the dust..."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tikkun_Chatzot

1. Awake, awake; put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city; from now on there shall no more come to you the uncircumcised and the unclean:
2. Shake yourself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem; loose yourself from the bands of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion:

>>>

8. The voice of your watchmen is heard; together shall they sing; for they shall see eye to eye, when the Lord returns to Zion:
9. Break forth into joy, sing together, you ruins of Jerusalem; for the Lord has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem:

One of those days, because Jerusalem, and of joining together.

How singing will help to bring the geula

An excerpt of a recent shiur given by Rav Eliezer Berland, shlita, on Shabbat Shira

Everything is done by way of Eliyahu HaNavi. Everything in the world, Eliyahu does them, he leads them. And techiyat hameitim (the revival of the dead) will also be done by way of Eliyahu… This will be by the hand of Eliyahu, Eliyahu will announce techiyat hameitim, Eliyahu HaNavi will fetch Moshiach Ben David – everything is Eliyahu HaNavi.

Because Eliyahu [who was Pinchas]...

https://ravberland.com/complete-redemption-going-come-singing/

What is it about singing and freedom? The opera scene in The Shawshank Redemption:

"I have no idea to this day what those two Italian ladies were singing about. Truth is, I don't want to know. Some things are best left unsaid. I'd like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, it can't be expressed in words, and makes your heart ache because of it. I tell you those voices soared higher and farther than anybody in a gray place dares to dream. It was like some beautiful bird flapped into our drab little cage and made those walls dissolve away. And for the briefest of moments, every last man in Shawshank felt free."

O Jerusalem, the holy city; from now on there shall no more come to you the uncircumcised and the unclean:

Aholibah, the harlot name for Jerusalem:

Aholibah = "woman of the tent" or "the tent is in her"
1) (metaph) Jerusalem as adulterous wife of Jehovah

Yet it is the place God chose to place His name Ehyeh (אהיה), "I am".

אהליבה

The "leftover" letters spell lev, heart, which are the letters that "bookend" the Torah, and the whole Tanakh, such that the entire Hebrew Bible is what is contained in the heart. The concealed letters of the word lev spell tamid - that perpetual thing or continuity that by nature does not change. Hence in modern Hebrew tamid is the adverb "always". Same meaning, as the truth (everything within the Torah, the lev) is eternal. It never changes.

Now in the name Aholibah, the "contents" of the heart is only one letter, the yud. The same meaning is there as well, because:

Pintele Yid

The pintele yid is described as that tiny part of Jew that never quits - the little spark of Jewishness that is indestructibleNo matter how hard that person tries to leave his Jewish-ness, there is a part of him that just can't get away.  Run to the ends of the earth, and it will still be there.  Announce your non-belief to the world, tell everyone you don't believe, and the 'pintele yid' will still disrupt your plans.

http://shiratdevorah.blogspot.com/2011/05/pintele-yid.html

Here is all about the pintele yid as the hidden letter yud. The story matches the yud/yid inside the lev that is inside the "escapee's" name:

https://ohr.edu/special/chanukah/jewspark.htm

"What happened?" It's the simple meaning really, "my tent is in her." Tent... of Meeting.

The littlest letter in the Hebrew alphabet is the Yud. It is a little dot. A small point. The pintele Yid is the pintele Yud. The numerical value of Yud is ten. Ten always connotes completion. In the decimal system when you go beyond nine, you go back to "one." You have gone back to the beginning, but on a higher level. Ten is an entire level higher.

Ten (עשר) = gate (שער), the full spelling being: 10 x 10 x 10. Elef אלף (1000) = alef (1). Back to the beginning, but on a higher level. It's critical therefore, not to confuse a thing with its opposite (רשע).

Shir (שיר) is also reish (ריש), the letter whose name is the beginning.

Eliyahu HaNavi will fetch Moshiach Ben David... Because Eliyahu is Pinchas...

Funny thing is yesterday on a different track I was searching on the phrase ish pele (איש פלא) (it was the only search term, using Hebrew) and came upon this wonderous man (Pinchas). Surprsingly the translation page is quite readable. When does that ever happen.

The figure of Pinchas continues to accompany us far beyond that. It turns out that Pinchas had a great longevity, for he is remembered not only in the Book of Joshua but also in the Book of Judges. Moreover, the words of the Sages are known as " Pinchas is Elijah " - that is, the sudden appearance of Elijah the prophet against King Ahab - more than 500 years after the Exodus from Egypt - is the awakening of Pinchas Elijah in a new identity.

Today I repeated the search while typing this post and yet that page did not reappear. Instead the message for today was of eternal music:

What if every one of Rachel's tears over the past 3570 years is a musical note? That's quite a song!

Hey I just write what shows up on any given day.
