What the hell is a “certificate of spouse appreciation”? I can't speak for the other services, but the 'Certificate of Spouse Appreciation' is a (nicely done) framed certificate, signed by the President and the Chief of Staff of the Air Force acknowledging the sacrifices the spouse endured throughout the career of the military member. My wife was very surprised to receive it, and it is hanging on my 'I love Me' wall, right next to my retirement certificate. I think the other services have the same thing.
