Even for an ordinary parishioner this should be a matter for church discipline once it is clear that they are okay with their sin (you know: the you and another go to the guy, then if he doesn’t repent the elders of the congregation go type thing). With a “deacon” it should also merit immediate removal from his office.

Why is it this homosexual and child molesting stuff comes from primarily the Catholics? Is it a fact, or just extra reporting by the media maybe because they hate Catholics?

Archbishop Cordileone is a stalwart ecclesial conservative. I believe he will do the right thing. He may step it through some measure of due process, but this guy’s days as a deacon are most likely numbered.
