Note: If you plan on seeing the movie (heaven forbid), please note that there are SPOILERS in the following story
Modern art has come to a bizarre stage: anything, literally anything, can be justified for the sake of it. When a film, that reviewers claim is based on biblical allegory, showcases graphic cannibalism and torture porn, you can bet the liberal media will cheer.
Mother!, a film starring Jennifer Lawrence (yes, that one, the one that said Mother Natures rage was coming for Trump), is outraging normal audiences everywhere, and even triggering the feminists, with its gore and bizarre references to Gods relationship to nature. According to PopSugar, the film is supposed to be a conservationists plea to the scum of the human race as well as a retelling of the Bible.
The husband to Jennifer Lawrences titular character is apparently a physical manifestation of God, while Lawrence is actually Mother Nature. The uninvited guests are Adam and Eve, the arguing brothers are Cain and Abel, and the mothers baby is Jesus Christ. God, in the character of the husband, steals the baby from the mother and delivers it to the mob outside. Yep, this surrealist art is basically mocking the Bible, Catholic theology, and anything else remotely Christian.
Marie Claires Esther Zuckerman expressed her horror in the scene where the God figure gives the baby to the mob, Mother pushes through the bodies, only to find the infant gutted and the people munching on its flesh. Then, in the apocalyptic fiery aftermath, she burns down the world, rips out her heart, and gives it to the God figure. Somehow, this review blamed the horror within on male egotism, since apparently the mothers perspective wasnt relevant in the end. Whatever floats your boat, feminists, although I think the right phrase you were looking for was human depravity.
Its ironic, and makes sense, that somehow, the writer and director of this film managed to work climate change (allegorically, of course) into the plot. Is it art? Doubtful.
Let the viewer beware. Its also spattered in blood. In the end, the God character is carrying the charred body of the mother, and when she rips out her heart, well. It looks almost exactly like what would happen if someone did rip out their heart. Oh, and the poster displays all you need to know about the gore.
Sounds like a winner.
Why any believer would go waste their money on this mess is amazing.
Movies and TV shows are made to promote an agenda. The story line is designed to weaken our ability to think critically (most Americans have no idea what critical thinking is). They do this by inserting a few impossible situations. In order to enjoy the story, we have to willingly suspend our disbelief, which allows the show’s intended message to flow effortlessly into our minds.
They are not made to entertain. They are made to program our minds. As the popcorn goes down the gullet, liberal ideas go into the brain.
The unbelievers will flock in to be counted among the "cool".
Reminds me of the Last Temptation of Christ...another movie from Hollywierd I skipped.
From what I’ve seen, which isn’t the whole movie, this is just some guys allegory of creation.
And that guy also made the movie “Pi” which was cool.. and was just as much of an allegory for the Torah.
The actors are rubes, but whatever. They always are.
My faith and my church aren’t so delicate that such a movie would insult us. We’re not like those muslim retards who freak out whenever someone says anything about us.
Relax folks. This vitriol directed at a damned movie is really making us look bad. Move on. From what I see, it doesn’t even look like a terrible movie. Disturbing, yeah but sometimes literature is.
While I have the soapbox, People are making a big deal about this IT movie. The original IT book written by Stephen King details a lengthy sex scene of young boys running a train on a barely pubescent girl and he describes her orgasms in detail. Stephen King is a damned pedo. And all he has to say on the topic is “It was a different world back then”. Bullsh!t, dingus.

The leftist “educational system” has dumbed people down so much over the decades that not only don’t they have any concept of “critical thinking,” they think it’s actually bad because it’s... well, “critical.”
Remember Broke Back Mountain? It sucked and got a Grammy or Emmy or something for “best film”. You just watch. This Mother movie will probably get one too. That’s Hollyweird for ya!!!!
Gee sounds like a great flick..
Why any believer would waste their money on America-hating, Trump-hating leftist loon Jennifer Lawrence is amazing.
“Modern” and “Art” are an oxymoron anymore...
There IS no art anymore :/
My oil/acrylic paintings (from decades ago) are much more meaningful than what is ‘produced’ today.
The best painting I had ever done (cabin with trees and a spring next to it with a background of some majestic mountains) I gave to my stepmother (God rest her soul) as a Christmas gift. I am sure it would not rank in the top 1000 of what they call art today :p
Only the art house crowd. For the rest, the movie is a bigger bomb than anything N. Korea has.
” I am sure it would not rank in the top 1000 of what they call art today :p”
If you placed it on the ground in the woods and a bear pooped on it...and you offered it to the “artists” of today they’d find it to be incredible. Sad but true.
Wish I could paint, but a stick figure is about best I can manage.
As expected, the “relax, it’s only a movie” chorus chimes in. While you personally may not be that fragile, however, you do seem to lack the critical reasoning skills to understand the consequences upon a society inundated with this types of recklessness. Just staggering.
OH.. forgot to mention.. we can keep trying to save them, but I think it may be too late; The disease of Liberalism is too deep embedded in their heart and soul (not that they have either of them anymore :( )...
(BTW.. Liberalism definition has obviously been changed :/ ).
Wish I could paint, but a stick figure is about best I can manage.
This is what they put on film and think it is ok. Imagine what they are thinking as they come with this sickness that did not make it in the film.
“As expected, the relax, its only a movie chorus chimes in.”
Yea and I’ll save my money for the next Jurassic Park movie too. This one is not worth it.
yeah I agree with you SK has some serious issues!!!!
The "cool" gave this movie an F score. Critics across the board have savaged it. Liberal loon Rex Reed called it the worst film of the century. It was also Jennifer Lawrence's worst career film opening box office. So believers and nonbelievers alike think this movie is crap.
