African Immigrant Arrested After Vandalizing Four Churches in Rome

Italian police have arrested an African immigrant after the man went on a rampage through four Roman churches, demolishing statues and knocking over candlesticks and reliquaries.

The 39-year-old Ghanaian began his destructive spree on Friday evening in the church of San Martino ai Monti, where he shattered a statue before being confronted by the parish priest, after which he fled the premises.

Soon afterward the man entered another church full of visiting pilgrims, the ancient Basilica of Santa Prassede, where he demolished the statues of the church’s patron as well as a statue of Saint Anthony, throwing them to the ground and then stamping on them and kicking them. He overturned other sacred objects as well, ripping a large crucifix from the wall. The assailant was on his way to destroy the crucifix on the altar when Father Pedro Savelli, rector of the Basilica, grabbed him by the leg.

What is the threshold for tolerance in Europe? It must be pretty damn freakin high to keep putting up with this BS.

“This is the Catholic church in Europe today.”

No, these are the Muslims and Africans in Europe today. These aren’t Catholics doing this to Catholics and Catholic churches.

At this point I don’t think there is a threshold. They literally feel impotent to do anything about it. It will take a dictator to rally the people to DEFEND THEMSELVES.

The biggest tragedy of the 21st century is the West politicians invited the barbarians into their countries, and the people of these countries were subdued without fight.

Drag him into the street and set him on fire. Nail his balls to the pavement first.

Yet, Pope Francis wants more of these “wonderful” people to come to Europe.

Either that or a truly Catholic Pope. After all this happening in Francis' backyard.

No. A pope can’t fix this. This is a problem that might have been created by a breakdown in the culture of Christendom but the most immediate agency that could fix it is the nation-state. The problem is that all of the nations of Western Europe are infected with the same Liberal/Progressive virus. A spiritual revival could happen, but most likely what will happen - if anything is to save Europe - is a confederation of strongman governments that harnesses the official power of the state and works hand-in-glove with nationalist street fighters. We’re still (probably) several years away from seeing that. Something truly cataclysmic to the current state of affairs has to happen first. If the Muslims of St. Denis declare Northern Paris the epicenter of Caliphate Europe, that might do it. If there is a major attack on Rome and the Vatican, that might do it. But it has to be something that more clearly delineates the following:

1) “Us” vs. “Them” - the Europeans must come to see that Muslims can never be “Us” and will always be “Them”, the other, the outsider, the invader.

2) There has to be a threat to the nation-state that people can actually see and sense. Not just something in theory, but an actual on-the-ground rival with its own flag, visible leaders, etc. And by then it might be too late.

Are you serious? Pope St. Pius V called for a universal rosary crusade for victory in the Battle of Lepanto and as result Our Lady worked a miracle. This month of October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary but Francis hasn't made one mention of it.

“Are you serious?”

Yes.

“Pope St. Pius V called for a universal rosary crusade for victory in the Battle of Lepanto and as result Our Lady worked a miracle. This month of October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary but Francis hasn’t made one mention of it.”

That was a very different situation in a very different time. Let’s say Pope Francis calls for a Rosary Crusade tomorrow. To what effect? Who in Europe would even do it? What would the goal be? How would that not cause an all out war when one has not yet begun? This would not be about a battle in far off eastern Mediterranean waters, but in Rome itself, in Paris, in Berlin (mostly Protestant city), in Malmo (which is Protestant by the way where it isn’t Muslim). It’s not 1571 anymore...or hadn’t you noticed?

I don’t deny the Holy Spirit could do something miraculous, but that is probably far down the road yet.

I know Catholics are not doing this. The Catholic church is under assault and Catholics are being attacked and murdered.

Catholics in Europe are under attack. That is what I meant.

So true.

The Catholic church as a long and noble tradition of fighting to protect and defend our way of life.

The Battle of Lepanto and the Battle of Vienna are just two examples. The Muslims were defeated and western civilization was allowed to flourish.

Sadly, our current Pope rejects this tradition.

It's funny that you asked that:

Thanks for proving my point. Almost no one.
