But haven’t you heard? He’s resigning the papacy because he’s gravely ill and “dying”. A bunch of FReepers “informed” of this “fact” in 2013 and told me I was an “idiot” if I couldn’t see it.

en route to the Greek island of Lesbos

in light of the current Popes position on things, this is ironic.

God bless him. One of the greatest Popes since Vatican 2. And a brilliant theologian.

God bless and keep Pope Benedict XVI!

May he live 120 healthy, happy, productive years!

Lord, hear my prayer.

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Yes. He is the only Pope I recognize.
His photos still hang on my wall.

He shares my cherished mother’s birthday.
She would have been 106 today.

Perhaps one of our Church’s most brilliant.
AND most humble.

There is a HUGE difference between the pope Benedict and the so-called “Francis” as journalists say usually in the very corrupted MSM .

The pope Benedict should speak out

Popes almost NEVER resign. Extremely rare. Next question is, “Why?”

Thank you, Benedict, for your service. You are the only real pope we have had for the last 2+ years.
