And what evidence is there beyond St. Peter’s mother-in-law of the apostles actively juggling family life and the priesthood? I don’t recall Paul telling Timothy or Titus “be sure to say Hi to the missus and the kids for me.”

There is nothing in the Bible precluding priests from being married men. Precisely the opposite is true.
Compulsory clerical celibacy was not instituted by the Church until well into the Middle Ages and for reasons which have nothing to do with anything that can be found in the Bible.
